I think Monty had 8 coaches, now Vogel's up to 8?

That's basically one coach per rotation player. Miles Simon? Ew.

I dunno, I just consider him kind of a dope and a loser. He was so utterly unimpressive in the NBA that it lowered my impression of him. I guess that isn't a direct indictment of his coaching, but it does show a certain disconnect and lack of understanding.

Most good coaches weren’t good in the nba

Simon only got 19 minutes of playing time in his entire career. Kind of hard to judge his performance in the NBA.

I think it's pretty fair and easy to judge it as an unsuccessful NBA career. :P

It ended up as a 9-man coaching staff, with Young being the only holdover from Monty's staff:

Each rotation player will have a dedicated coach. :P

When I see the size of the coaching staff, I don't see why a team, going forward, and especially a contending team, carry 3 two-way players, dedicate two player development coaches, and essentially run 10-man scrimmages with the two-way players and the seven non-rotation players on a regular basis, even when the team doesn't have their man practice time. Have each developmental coach be in charge of a five-man unit and have them run the practices/scrimmages.

I really hope the two-way stuff keeps expanding. Once we get a g-league team everyone will have one. Can only be good for nba and development to grow the g league.
