Here’s my pretty uninformed opinion on the pick…Everyone is bringing up the concerns with Maluach, which is completely fair, there’s just concerns about anyone we could have picked at 10.

Yes, but not all concerns are created equal, and not all prospects have the same amount of concern. To just write off as "hey, no one is without concerns," just seems unreasonably dismissive.

I don’t know if Maluach will be good, none of us do, but I am glad we didn’t pick some of the other guys we could have…namely CMB or Derek Queen.

I am happy we didn't have the opportunity to get CMB. It does worry about this front office that they would be high on him.

Just seemed like I was hearing a lot of complaining, but no one actually even suggesting someone else we should’ve picked. Not talking you specifically. You’ve mentioned alternatives you liked

If we wanted a center I would have taken Sorber over Maluach.

I get both sides of this argument.... but one thing you have to admit, even though JeremyG's post may be negative, it doesn't make him any less passionate about the team then those that are more positive.


I'll admit I've been saltier than normal... but figured it's probably this fucking kidney stone I'm dealing with making me more crotchety than normal lol. Sometimes there's exterior things we may be dealing with that may transfer into our emotions on this board.

JG... As a suggestion from one salty guy to another, we need to try to let go of the past and just try to be positive for the future. I know it can be hard but I'm telling you, emotionally it's way healthier for us. The Suns aren't perfect, but I'll give them credit that they're definitely being super aggressive in TRYING to fix things, which at this point is all I can ask for as a fan.

I feel likes it moved lower towards the front…. Had a CT scan today and supposed to hear from the doc tomorrow. I’ve heard they can take up to 3 weeks. I already drink more than a gallon of water a day because of back spasm issues and have probably increased another gallon since this. Trying to water board this mother fer lol.

Alright, well hang in there man, and good luck! The weird thing for me is both times, I never passed or at least felt them come out at the end. It was just a matter of getting them through to the bladder.

My overarching take on the Suns’ draft is it was nice that they seemed to have a clear plan and executed it. And that you don’t need to go through any mental gymnastics to justify their selections. Along their clear needs were size, defense and shooting and they took players who look to tick those boxes.

Of course you can quibble over individual choices but their overall vision for what they wanted to do seems sound. It has been some time since I have felt like that.

He injured his left big toe in a fall—hopefully it’s not something that will be a long-term concern. I’m more concerned about Maluach’s conditioning issues. I don’t know if he will ever be able to average 30+ mpg, like I would want from a starting center.

Plus Sorber seems to have the more polished, well-rounded game.

Why do you think he won’t be able to correct his conditioning issues? Seems like something that should be fairly easy to fix if he’s got the work ethic
