I am happy we didn't have the opportunity to get CMB. It does worry about this front office that they would be high on him.
Just seemed like I was hearing a lot of complaining, but no one actually even suggesting someone else we should’ve picked. Not talking you specifically. You’ve mentioned alternatives you liked

What an excuse—“just a few days before.” This is complete malpractice by the rookie GM. They knew they were going to obtain a pick in that range for KD. For months. They should have been working out all prospects who could possibly fall in the 9-20 range.

I think Sorber is better suited for the 4.

I get both sides of this argument.... but one thing you have to admit, even though JeremyG's post may be negative, it doesn't make him any less passionate about the team then those that are more positive.SunsRIt wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 6:26 pmThen maybe change your attitude.JeremyG wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 6:23 pmI am a Suns fan because Al McCoy turned me into a lifelong Suns fan when I was 9 years old. I'll admit I've been saltier than normal... but figured it's probably this fucking kidney stone I'm dealing with making me more crotchety than normal lol. Sometimes there's exterior things we may be dealing with that may transfer into our emotions on this board.
JG... As a suggestion from one salty guy to another, we need to try to let go of the past and just try to be positive for the future. I know it can be hard but I'm telling you, emotionally it's way healthier for us. The Suns aren't perfect, but I'll give them credit that they're definitely being super aggressive in TRYING to fix things, which at this point is all I can ask for as a fan.
To everyone else... Sorry I've been salty, I'll be better.
Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT NIGHT!
Kidney stones? All is forgiven!
Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT NIGHT!
They are the WORST! I've been through it 2 times, technically 3 as the last time I had a two-fer with one day of relief in between.

I feel likes it moved lower towards the front…. Had a CT scan today and supposed to hear from the doc tomorrow. I’ve heard they can take up to 3 weeks. I already drink more than a gallon of water a day because of back spasm issues and have probably increased another gallon since this. Trying to water board this mother fer lol.Superbone wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 7:20 pmOh, man. Are you in the middle of it now? Alright, well hang in there man, and good luck! The weird thing for me is both times, I never passed or at least felt them come out at the end. It was just a matter of getting them through to the bladder.Kryptonic wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 7:24 pmI feel likes it moved lower towards the front…. Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT NIGHT!
My overarching take on the Suns’ draft is it was nice that they seemed to have a clear plan and executed it. And that you don’t need to go through any mental gymnastics to justify their selections. Along their clear needs were size, defense and shooting and they took players who look to tick those boxes.
Of course you can quibble over individual choices but their overall vision for what they wanted to do seems sound. It has been some time since I have felt like that.

I think we have to go back to Mikal to find a time when the Suns seemingly got their (realistic) first choice at their draft position.

Plus Sorber seems to have the more polished, well-rounded game.
Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT NIGHT!
He injured his left big toe in a fall—hopefully it’s not something that will be a long-term concern. I’m more concerned about Maluach’s conditioning issues. I don’t know if he will ever be able to average 30+ mpg, like I would want from a starting center.Split T wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 7:11 pmI’ve heard some good things about sorber…aren’t there some injury concerns?JeremyG wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 6:20 pmIf we wanted a center I would have taken Sorber over Maluach.Split T wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 6:17 pmINFORMER wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 5:12 pmYes, but not all concerns are created equal, and not all prospects have the same amount of concern. I did praise Gregory for pick 31. I just don’t trust Ishbia and I’ll need Gregory to prove he has what it takes to put together a successful team.

Why do you think he won’t be able to correct his conditioning issues? Seems like something that should be fairly easy to fix if he’s got the work ethicJeremyG wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 10:35 pmHe injured his left big toe in a fall—hopefully it’s not something that will be a long-term concern.
