Relax. Mike Scott will be a top 30 player in Europe next year. That is why we paid for him. Brilliance!

We have to spend the money anyway. Is this just us saying that we didn't want to pay our other players more? I am not sure why we spent money on this.

Because Scott has already been paid probably 2 million of his salary this year. We only pay him 1.3 million, but he still counts for 3.3 million against the cap. This saved sarver 2 million dollars. Had nothing to do with his basketball ability.
Ah, didn't realize you could do that.

The salary is calculated on the last day of the season for floor/tax purposes. So while they sent out Tucker's salary they took back Sullinger and Scott's. I am not sure either wears a Suns uniform ever.
Go Suns!

The only silver lining from all of that is hopefully more minutes for the younger players and more losses.
The way the Suns have been in recent times though well probably end up picking 5th in the draft and making a mess of any other trades in summer.

That quote looks especially stupid with IT3 playing like he is.

Biggest things I want to see for the rest of the season:

Focus on development
Consistent minutes for Chriss(25 a game minimum)
Consistent minutes for Len(25 a game)
Warren to find some consistency in his play
Knight to have some success
Bender to get healthy and get some minutes
Booker and Bledsoe to continue their 2017 play
Ulis to be a part of the rotation consistently
Lots of wins for the Lakers, Magic, and 76ers

Agreed on all counts.
Lets add lots of wins for the Nets too (asking too much?)

It's about what you can expect for a couple months of Tucker. Nobody's going to be offering a first-rounder for him.

I just don't want to see Chandler player 30-35 minutes a night, and holding on to Knight might be the best idea - either he will help them lose a lot more games or he'll build his value back up somewhat.

From this point on I want to see Warren, Ulis, Chriss, Len, Williams and Bender out there as much as possible so we can evaluate whether they're in the long-term plans and to develop them as much as we can.

I nailed it with the 1 player moved. I don't count that other guy coming for cash who I can't even remember his name or who he is.

I didn't read the poll carefully; I was voting for "2 or more trades." I didn't notice it said "2 or more players moved." That could have come true with just one trade, actually.

https://twitter.com/DougHaller/status/834948436323516417 Why the F-ing F are we so obsessed with Ronnie Price? If the front office loves him so much as a veteran voice, add him to the coaching staff. Any second this guy plays over Ulis is a wasted second.

If we have an open roster spot, we should be using it to cycle in and out young d-league players at the 3 (like Troy Williams) to see if we can find some pieces to add to our core.

Jones Jr. is a 3. I expect to see minutes given to Warren and Jones Jr. until Bender is back.

The Suns wanted him as an assistant coach this year but he wanted to play. When it was clear no one was going to sign him, the Suns brought him back primarily to coach. But since they are below the salary floor they can pay him as a player with money they were going to have to spend anyway. So Sarver gets an assistant coach for free.

Ya, we haven't seen him get any minutes over Ulis yet, so let's not get too worried. Even with price, if we waive Scott and sullinger, we'll still have two roster spots to bring in some guys.

Roster

Bledsoe-T.U.-Price
Booker-Knight-Barbosa
Warren-Jones Jr.
Chriss-Bender-Dudley
Chandler-Len-B.S.

We have one spot with Price back and could add another SF I suppose or another combo guard. Possibly bring back Jenkins or take a flyer on someone else. Troy Williams? Askia Booker from the NAZ? A Booker-Booker rotation at SG?
Go Suns!
