That is just a google image search for "WTF" cropped a bit. Bledsoe said something similar... Tucker was nearly crying as he left when talking to media, saying that Phoenix is who gave him a chance to rebuild, and was his family.

Forget the 1st rd pick, how did McD at least not get Bruno or Bebe back?

I can't remember the last trade that McD actually won.

Dragic trade.

I don't think I like this trade. PJ Tucker is an imperfect player, but he was a good soldier; he played hard; he was a Phoenix Suns lifer for the part of his pro career that mattered at all; and he liked being here and seemed genuinely grateful that we had given him this chance. I think the problem was not him, but the fact that our coach was choosing to start him or play him 30+ minutes in a lot of games.

If we could have gotten a 1st rounder for PJ, I think that would have been good to do. You have to take it if you can get that kind of value. But two crappy second-rounders? And a fat broken player who won't amount to anything? That's garbage.

I would rather have just kept him for the rest of the year and either let him leave or sign him cheap, whatever he prefers.

We can still sign him if we wanted to. This lets him play in the playoffs for the first time in his career, and got us 2 2nd rounders. You take whatever you can get for 2 months of him.

Dragic trade.
And he took the biggest L of the decade right after that by giving away Lakers pick for Knight.

2 incredibly late 2nd rounders are worthless.

I can urinate in an empty bottle for you and that bottle would have the same value as the 2 second rd Raptors picks.

While the 2nd rounders might not be great, they can help. I can see a scenario where a team at the end of round 1 wants to trade back because the guy they wanted got picked before them. We can offer our own 2nd along with a Toronto 2nd to move up and take a player we like.

Another scenario, perhaps down the line we take on a contract and receive an asset in return for our troubles. We have to give something up in that scenario and I'd rather move a Toronto 1st instead of our own.

I'm surprised by the light haul. I'm also surprised about Philadelphia's poor haul for Noel.

Most Sellers, overall, took it on the chin this deadline. Surprising.

Marty: PJ will be 32 next season, so the next contract he signs probably will be his last.
After working the trenches for bad Suns' teams, he probably wants a chance to compete on a playoff team.
As far as the Suns go, he's an asset with declining value because of his age and size, so management probably isn't going to throw a pile of money at him.

Better than nothing.
Sorry, it's basically nothing. Toronto doesn't own anyone else's 2nds so they will be picks in the 50s.
Slightly more than nothing is still better than nothing. It's pretty ridiculous we couldn't get a 1st rounder for him at least but 2 second rounder better than no second rounders.
Philly didn't even get a first for Noel( it will become 2 seconds) and Tucker was going to walk in two months anyway. We did him a favor and sent him to a playoff team while we continue the tank. This is no big deal.

Anybody who would rather keep Pj than trade him for nothing has no vision of a Suns future. You guys know that we suck right? We suck. We're not going anywhere. You'd rather end up with Markkanen at the 6th pick than Fultz Ball or Jackson just because of a man crush on Pj Tucker??!!! This isn't Nash we're talking about. It's not even Channing Frye. It's PJ Tucker. The dude who gets Technicals late in close games and then blames the young guys for getting too comfortable with receiving technical fouls. The DUI getting , blame deflecting supposed veteran who's idea of leading by example is showing up to camp every year out of shape and 10 pounds heavy from an entire offseason of traveling instead of working on his game.

My issue isn't with the trade. I am not a Tucker fan. I'm glad he was traded. I just thought McDonough would get a more useful asset.

Did you see the video of him moments after the trade? It didn't look like a favor.

Shows you his value. He is so overrated by Phoenix. There's a reason we couldn't get a first

Agreed. I'm not even necessarily suprised it wasn't a 1st for a 2 month rental but when you hear 7-8 teams are interested you assume atleast 1 is offering a 1st or a younger piece. After hearing the rumors I would of thought the spurs would of jumped in with there 1st which will prob be 29 or 30.

With the darth of 1st rd picks being traded, the Nets did well to get one for Bogdonovic.

Tucker is always emotional and lives in the moment. Let's see what he thinks about the trade in April.
