Nope. It would never dawn on him that he won the championship.Cap wrote:He probably thinks of it more as "winning the championship" than "stopping the Warriors."Superbone wrote:Turnabout is fair play. Wouldn't he love to be part of stopping the Warriors.
Clearing out.carey wrote:https://twitter.com/anthonyVslater/status/836732558264139776 What the fuck was Gortat doing there?
I'm a bit surprised at how easily he was thrown but that isn't a basketball play. If that's clearing out then I don't know what sport I've been watching lately. That's some WWE shit.Hermen wrote:Meh, Pachulia was probably very eager to fall on that play.
I agree, I didn't mean to say Gortat's "move" was clean. Just that players like to exaggerate contact and Durant was the victim here.carey wrote:I'm a bit surprised at how easily he was thrown but that isn't a basketball play. Please. The Knicks have Phil Jackson and James Dolan.carey wrote:And nothing else? I'm not sure. But we also have Bender, Chriss, Warren, and Ulis.Ring_Wanted wrote: Haha yeah, but that's not incompatible with having a bright future. As in, full of opportunities. And we are talking about Zinger plus another elite prospect. Wouldn't you consider it bright if we had Booker and Jackson/Ball/Fultz?
He will. Toronto has such a dearth of offensive talent that they basically ride Lowry and Derozan into the ground. Every year around this time Lowry breaks down. It'll be good for him to take a few weeks off, as long as they don't free-fall in the standings. IIRC their record with Derozan only has not been pretty.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:The timing on that Lowry injury is just cruel. They had just loaded up for the playoff run with Ibaka and PJ Tucker. Hope he'll be back for the postseason. If his hand heals properly, he might even benefit from having fresher legs in the playoffs.
Put him on Markieff and have him whisper in his ear that Marcus sucks.Split T wrote:While Raptors won't really need Lowry until round 2, losing him for the rest of the regular season is going to hurt. Firstly, their chances of moving into the 2/3 game just went down as I don't think they catch Boston/Washington without Lowry. Secondly, it would have been nice to give the whole team some time to get comfortable with one another. The most likely scenario is Lowry coming back for the playoffs and getting 1 round to get comfortable with his new teammates before going up against Lebron in round 2. I don't like their chances in that series. Crazy as it seemed early in the season(I myself wondered why washington was so bad) I think it'll be Washington-Cleveland in the East Finals. Washington is a terrible matchup for Boston as they have nowhere to hide IT as Wall, Beal, or Porter will light him up.
It's very Amar'e. For all the things he's done that counter his upbringing, he still manages to pull out the head shaking moment fairly consistently.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:That Amare piece is super awkward. Not very smart to diss gay people like that. The better move would be to just dodge the question.
Oh b.s.Cap wrote:I'm not sure whether this discussion belongs here or in the Politics folder, but Amar'e has apologized, explaining his comments were intended to be "comedic."
