Green? He stepped out of bounds on a 3 and traveled before a 3. I don’t mind as much when he misses a shot. He doesn’t have any real chemistry with Mark Williams…I think there was a turnover trying to get it to him, but he looked a lot better than he has lately.

Seems like Ott cannot wait to get Oso in every single game. Mark is in a rut, for sure. Getting badly outplayed by the Reynauds and the Quetas of the league.

Yeah Green. I agree that's the best he's looked so far. He was definitely trying to be a little more assertive.
I cannot explain what has happened to Mark Williams the past 10 games.

Oso and Grayson looked like All Stars off the bench.
Fleming with another encouraging game - he's gotten real minutes in 6 of the last 7. Maybe he's getting more comfortable with NBA timing. He's shooting 45% from 3 in this stretch. Very few shots, rebounds, etc, but he is for sure having a positive impact.
Gillespie was our best player last night, and we are all so used to him that we aren't phased. I'm gonna talk about it.
Gillespie for Most Improved. He's a starter. I know it sounds obvious now, but he was slotted to be a backup over the summer. He was undrafted and hanging around on 2-way contracts. He's never even played a full season off the bench, much less as a starter. He's played a total of 57 nba games (starting 9), before this season. 686 total minutes played over his career, and then 1725 so far this season. In 3 more games, he will have more FGA than his previous minutes played. It's just remarkable how rock solid and steady he's been this year. He has proven that he belongs in the league, and he's earned the next 8 years of contacts.

Suns got a W for my boy! Wish I had heard all you guys' great name suggestions, but I had already locked in on Horacio Llamas Chu, sorry.
It's great to see Fleming starting to find himself and get real minutes. 8 points on 3-4 shooting, 6 rebounds, an assist. I think next year he is going to be a real rotation player for us.
Jalen Green is still making too many silly mistakes, but it does feel like he is starting to turn a corner. I could live without the 7 TOs, though.
Others have commented on Mark Williams's mysterious regression. Maybe in a weird way it will help us because it'll lower his bidding price this summer so that we can re-sign him. I think he's very good and that this rough patch is an aberration. I think he's worn out by the long season and his mind and body are still adjusting. I am not majorly concerned and still think we should make it a high priority to re-sign him. I have similar feelings about Gillespie: the league has "figured him out" a little bit, and he's not having as many huge games as he used to. But he's still great and we still have to keep him here.
Meanwhile Oso has gotten to the point where he can just put up 14 and 14 (!) on 7-10 shooting along with 3 assists, and it isn't even that remarkable. What a great growth he has shown this season. This is the perfect kind of game for him though, against an opponent that doesn't really have a giant dominant C so he can kind of roam and his lack of size/bulk is not exposed.
Not a lot of words said about Book, but it sure is nice to have him back out there. I must reluctantly admit that he's our team's best PG and that "point Book" has improved to the point where it helps us and is our best overall strategy. If he can keep getting the assists while also hitting his 3s like he did tonight, that's pretty scary.

Totally agree about CG... it's fun to look back at the old post but my favorite is probably this one:
Collin Gillespie might be a gem. It's a lazy comparison, but there's a fair bit of TJ McConnell in his game.
I think we were all HOPING he'd be the TJ McConnell we always wanted but ended up turning into the Villian Jr. and becoming a something I think that's better than TJ McConnell.
