I think that's fair. All the talk in the off-season was about how much Hornacek and McDonough were on the same page philosophically.

He probably was, because he was able to make that sort of transition. Welp, Eric Bledsoe and his awful BBIQ will be our new selling point. Oof.

This sucks is an understatement. I hope they can pull something out of this dumpster fire of a situation.

To be fair, the it's not awful. It just isn't good. Or average. But it isn't Matt Barnes-ish.

I'm more worried about Bledsoe's ability to "bring it" every night than his BBIQ

Cant wait for the 3man rotation of Bledsoe/Thomas/Green to close out games.

Yep. He has shown he can be dominant. It is just very infrequent. And it doesn't appear to be due to lack of ability (except when it comes to making his teammates better...).

I'll be shocked if we get anything of substance for a rental who wants out, McD has no leverage here.

He has a little leverage if there really are 7 teams he's interested in going to (and they're all prepared to pay him). But it's certainly not a position of strength

Dragic would be keen to get traded this week rather than sign as a free agent in the off-season, as his new team gets his Bird rights, so can offer him a 5-year deal as opposed to the 4 years he'd get as a free agent.

Best we can hope for is someone really valuing his bird rights.

Can we cut his sorry ass brother now too?

i guess this is what you get you try to do the ultimatum stuff with dragic before the deadline. he didnt brought this up during the all star break, mcdo did. i guess if mcdo is going to lose dragic, he might as well squeeze whatever little compensation (29th-30th pick) he gets out of this.

After informing the Phoenix Suns that Goran Dragic won't re-sign an extension this summer, agent Bill Duffy delivered the Phoenix Suns a list of preferred trade destinations that includes the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks and Miami Heat, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Indiana Pacers are also a possible destination for Dragic, league sources told Yahoo Sport
Or, the Suns could remain defiant of doing deals with those chosen teams, trade Dragic elsewhere and dare him to take less guaranteed years and money to join the Lakers, Knicks or Heat. If Dragic isn't traded, he could sign a maximum free-agent deal for four years, $80 million with New York or Los Angeles. The Suns – or a team that acquires him and his Bird rights – could sign Dragic for five years, $100 million-plus.

The Suns are in a difficult position to regain assets for Dragic, because three of the teams – the Lakers, Heat and Knicks – do not have significant trade pieces available for deals. If one of those teams believes they have an inside track on signing Dragic, they'll be even less apt to give away trade chips now when they could simply sign him into salary-cap space this summer.

Daryl Morey would be crazy enough to get Dragic anyway?
