Someone else did something kind of bad! Therefore, the MoBros are okay.

Oh I agree that taking a bunch of professional athletes and jumping a 40 year old is way worse. Although I still think they end up getting off with a slap on the wrist.

Trading them both now is probably the worst thing the Suns could do. Their value has plummetted. It would be best just to wait and let this blow over some and move them quietly later.

Although I would not be opposed to moving Marcus ALONE for about anything. I think they feed each other's stupidity. They have lost all "together" privileges with this arrest. In fact, it might be best for THEM to be apart.

Trade Marcus for a second rounder, or just cut him.

I agree with every word of this post. I also think that Markieff is still capable of being an effective NBA PF, and that it's silly to discard him just when his value is at its nadir.

I think there are plenty of teams out there that won't care about this incident. I think if they decided to trade them they can easily get value.

The other thing is, they're innocent until proven guilty in court. They may have done something stupid or illegal, but we're not the ones to make the final legal decision on that. If they're found guilty, maybe then it's an issue. But anybody can sue anybody and accuse them of any crime. If we were accused of a felony assault, we'd want the benefit of the doubt from our community rather than assuming we were guilty and wanting us driven out of town.

The Suns and fans cannot convict them legally. But the team and fans can understand what happened and act accordingly. Of course, the Suns need to make sure of the facts, but they do not have to wait for the justice system to respond.

They weren't just accused. The evidence was submitted to a grand jury and they decided to charge them with felony assault. I completely agree they are innocent until proven guilty, but this isn't just someone suing or accusing.

The worst part is that the Morris' deny knowing the assault victim, Hood.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I thought the worst part was that they beat the shit out of him.

Shows where we kind of are as fans doesn't it? We tend to lose objectivity. A man was beaten til hospitalized by multiple professional athletes, which are generally large strong individuals.
Go Suns!

Exactly.

I think we've seen enough of them to know that one (Marcus), if not both, needs to go.

And I'd pull the trigger on a Markieff trade if I though we were getting fair value for him.

I can't come up with a destination for him in any trade scenarios. Chicago reportedly pulled out of a deal already. Maybe they revisit it if it blows over? Would you do both twins for Chandler Parsons? His knee might be fubared though. How about the expiring contracts of Gallo and JJ Hickson? Kevin Martin and Anthony Bennet? Ryan Anderson and Q-Pon? Serge Ibaka (I wish)? Batum? Nene?

I might do the New Orleans deal for Anderson and Pondexter, but the rest are icky. Not trying to poop on your ideas; I just agree that teams are unlikely to give up great talent for damaged goods.

There not my ideas, there legitimately the only salaries that match that aren't stars (except for Serge) that can be had for $13Million.

With the felony charges in trial, there is no market of any value for Markieff and Marcus. There's really no value in trying to trade them, especially when Markieff is a valuable player. And the Suns can't really trade them before the outcome of the trial.

I suspect that at least Markieff will get off with a slap on the wrist -- the prosecutor seems too aggressive.

Ha. He's probably going to get a cut of the civil settlement. This is going to cost them millions.
