Morris's shooting will cost Hornacek his job if he keeps giving him the minutes he does.
Catch 22. I suspect Honecek and the upper management are on the same page. You can't bench him and expect to teams to want to trade for him. If you do bench him you might as well just give him to some team as a gift and take the loss. Millions $$$$. We aren't trying to fight for a Championship this year by any stretch of the imagination so, I think they are doing exactly what the have to even if it sucks. Hornecek might be in danger of losing his job but, I don't think it will be because of playing Morris.

I am not sure why Jeff would be on the hot seat yet. His first year, he had more of a semblance of a "complete" backcourt. He had an assist guy, a drive guy, some shooting, etc. No surprise, it was a pretty good year, given no superstars and one borderline all-star caliber player. Last year, the tinkering went too far and the egos got bruised and the TEAM fell apart. Not sure how Jeff could have avoided that, unless he himself was pushing for IT (I highly doubt that). This year, we have two combo guards, and let's be honest, neither one is great at shooting guard or point guard. I will blast Jeff like many are once he has been given the tools to succeed. Otherwise, he is trying to make do with the team that we have, and some nights they will look great and some nights not so great.

I would add the same about the Pick and Roll too. Neither are good at that. Fortunately, Tyson has been catching passes he has no business catching, and doing damage from awkward spots after bad passes.

If the Suns are still playing this way in another 10 games, and if Thibs is still available, I'd consider Hornacek on the Hot Seat.

I don't know that Thibs would take this job. He reportedly didn't want the New Orleans job because he thought AD might eventually leave. There's not much here to sell the job to a coach like Thibs.

The office will need a "fall guy" to blame for their mistakes.

Well, New Orleans has almost no interesting players beyond Davis. I actually think this Suns team has a lot of interesting pieces. We don't have a Davis-level superstar, but I could imagine a disciplinarian / defensive coach like Thibs looking at this team and saying, "That SHOULD be a playoff team on the rise, but for some reason it isn't. I bet I could take it there."

I love Tyreke. I'd take Ryan Anderson as well.
That said, I think they were overrated by most. And everyone overrated ADavis. He's a great young player, but he's not ready to really carry a team yet.

Yup, exactly what I'm thinking. Imagine Thibs salivating at Chandler/Len in the middle and Bledsoe on the perimeter, in a defensively oriented squad. Maybe he can actually get Tucker to play D again.

Coaches have a very short life in the NBA because many of them are just not that good -- the job is difficult and there is more to it than managing GOOD players. You have to also be a good leader, good analyst , good teacher, good manager of personalities -- all while having a point of view, a perspective be it offensively or defensively .
Yes a mediocre coach can manage a team with GOOD players to a certain point but that type of coach is a dime a dozen , There are not that many good coaches and JH is not a good coach. He is an average coach who can get by if he has some chips on the court
I don't see how anyone can argue that he has an offensive or defensive vision or that he is a good leader

...yet one mere game above 50%, under a weak schedule as discussed.
Anyway, I'll take it of course, especially that sweet rebounding strength.

Totally agree. The results for each game have not been great, but honestly we are not a great team, in terms of talent. We are average at nearly every position. So to be top 10 in both is a pretty impressive feat.
