Meanwhile, it's a big night in our battle to sink below the T-Wolves in season record. They're playing at the Lakers tonight - surely they can pull a win out there.

He deserves it for his fantastic play and intangible contributions to the team/chemistry.

"Hey Fans - we know this season has been like one long gonad punch, so let's make it up to the 7 of you still watching by running out a Tucker/Morris combo for 40 minutes a night.

We Are Pee.Aitch.Ex!"

I don't understand. We can Hornacek and immediately promote Markieff back to the starting line-up? He's done nothing to earn it. Awesome message the team is sending to its fans right now.

Please tell me that they only want to showcase Markieef.

That's the only reasonable explanation I could think of, albeit teams surely know what he offers by now anyhow.

I don't think any of us here have a lot of confidence in the team's ownership/management having the ability to turn this around. It starts at the top. Sarver and McDonough have to be held accountable for their decisions. Neither has an impressive track record here - Sarver in particular.

So by holding McDonough accountable you mean you want him fired? The only way to hold Sarver accountable is to stop going to games & stop buying Suns merchandise, which, as far as I know is what people are doing.

I honestly think Sarver's the most responsible. I suspect McDonough would be happy to stay the course through a proper rebuild, but Sarver doesn't have the patience for it and sets the tone/direction from the top. It's a tough framework to operate in (rebuild, but stay competitive while you're doing it). Whether McDonough could successfully do the rebuild is another question altogether. I'm less confident in that now than when he first took over.

There is no accountability and there won't be. The only thing that would happen would be McD being fired and Sarver hiring someone else he can tell what to do. There is no forcing Sarver to sell and he won't stop meddling (see the McD interview today where he hinted it was Sarver's call on Kieff).

Right now our best bet is to hope that Kieff continues to act like a bitch and that McD has built up enough good will with Sarver that he will let him actually rebuild. Unfortunately the media guys around town and nationally keep acting like the fans demand a playoff team next year or ELSE!

The shortcuts need to stop but we can only hope for it. Sarver will do whatever he fucking pleases. :(

Team has been on a downward trend since the moment Saver bought it. He is cursed. We will never win a title until he sells.

I mean, I don't want to beat a dead horse, but these two things both happened today:

McDonough: "Coach Watson and I will be more aggressive and direct in holding them accountable and making sure they play that way,"

Watson (paraphrasing): We're going to start the player who has loafed through the entire season and threw a towel at his coach for the foreseeable future, regardless of how well he plays.

Do they even realize how insane this is?

Who cares what they say/said? All I am going to judge them on is whether they get Markieff out of here by the trade deadline, and if so, what haul they get for him.
