Has anybody else noticed that Watson has been masterful at calling time outs at the right time? That has been a breath of fresh air.

If the Suns can't land Thibs in the off season, I don't think I would mind keeping Watson for next season.
I would bring in a lot more veteran coaches to be his assistant than just Bob though.

Thibs or bust & I guarantee he will want the job if we get Simmons or Ingram.

We probably won't land either of them seeing as the Suns are trying to screw themselves out of drafting them with wins lately.

Hmm, doesn't seem that the Suns are in any different position than they were two weeks ago.

Do you think Lakers fans are upset they beat the Warriors? Our projector wins are good for the young guys. If Tucker and Price were winning games, it would be a different story.

Good win for the young guys. Positive learning experience. Doesn't influence the ping pong balls too much, but will influence the team in a positive way into the future.

If we finish with the second-worst record in the league, ahead of only Philly, we have a 38.7% chance of a top-2 pick. If we go in the other direction, passing BKN and MIN to finish with the fifth-worth record, we have an 18.5% chance. So it's not that huge a difference.

38% and 18% is a pretty big difference...are you being sarcastic?

I think beating the Warriors is different than beating the Grizzlies...I'm sure nobody here would mind if the Suns beat the greatest team in NBA history. But Grizz are far from that.
A better question would be if Laker fans were mad when the Lakers beat the Nets and the answer would be yes they were.

Only a 20% chance it makes a difference.

I hope that last sentence is meant to be written in green (sarcasm).

We won't catch LA or Minny so really it's between us and Brooklyn for 3rd. 3rd gives us a 31% chance at top 2, 4th is 24.5%

I think Simmons will be really good. I like Ingram, but not sure he's a franchise altering talent.

He started out rocky with me with all his love for Kieff but he is really growing on me. I worry that he is just giving the young guys so much responsibility just because of the injuries. When Price came back he cut Archie's minutes a lot. If he would continue to push the young guys to the front I wouldn't be upset at all if he comes back next year. McD can basically take that decision out of Watson's hands by trading one of the guards and either trading Chandler or making sure he doesn't sign a starting quality PF.
The biggest thing in his favor so far is the new offensive sets we have been running. We are actually getting open looks something that just didn't happen earlier this season. Almost everything under Hornacek was predictable and ineffective. There is a lot more movement and off ball screening going on and it is paying off. I guess our players aren't too stupid to handle an offensive system.
I really don't like hiring former players with no coaching experience as head coaches but Watson has impressed me so far.

I've been very unimpressed with Simmons just about every time I've watched. Just finished the LSU/UK game and he looked very pedestrian.

Been trying to catch up on games. Two wins in a row on the road. Five consecutive double doubles for Len. Booker looking great. The twin towers has been effective. Only slightly bummed they won but, more of me is happy they are getting it together.
It reminds me of when the stock market started to climb after the big crash. Have the Suns hit bottom and are starting their climb?
