If the Suns don't move their picks, I would be happy with a Ayton, Huerter, Okobo draft.

Also, I was watching a little bit of Chandler Hutchinson video yesterday and had flashbacks of Scottie Pippen in his movements. Is that crazy?

I am curious if he means "coached in any capacity" or strictly "head coach."

He hasn’t been a head coach for 25 years, so he’s including his assistant posts in the NBA.

ayton is now 54% in the poll
doncic is 44%

go team ayton!

Who are we going to get to play as a dominate center if we draft Ayton? He wants to play the 4 and shoot threes all night.

If we draft Doncic, I imagine there will be someone willing to do the dirty work and play center on our team.

Sarcasm?

I don't expect a ton of 3s, but he has said he doesn't want to play center. I am not sure what that means for us.

So better than all the championship Pistons players.

Too bad. We're paying him millions to play center.

You aren't concerned that you want to spend the one and only #1 draft pick this team has had in 50 years on a center that doesn't want to play center?

Maybe he’s shying away from usual center duties: Rebounding, Rim protection, paint enforcement on both sides.

PF nowadays allows you to stay out of bruising more likely than center.

Isn't that what we have been clamoring for? Booker is already a very 1-way player. We don't need/want our two best players to be 1-way players.

Hopefully they address it on the interview and get a clearer picture of it, I don’t want a “finesse center”, specially one that should be running over people and actually looking to impose his physical superiority. We might be better served going for KAT if that’s the case.

Honestly, I'm not too concerned about it but I would work it out with him ahead of time. We don't want any surprises. If he really were to insist he wouldn't play center and wanted to be a PF then sure, take Doncic for sure.

Just listened to Amin Elhassan on AZSports radio making a push for Doncic over Ayton. What he said made a lot of sense. Honestly, I'll be happy either way on draft day. Guys on another board are saying stupid stuff like they'll quit following the team if we don't pick Ayton.

I'm sure Doncic is a basketball player. I can't say the same for Ayton. And with the red flags over his defense and now (supposedly) not wanting to play center, we'd be taking a chance on him IMO.

That is where I am at too. I know Ayton is physically bigger and stronger than 99% of the league. But there are plenty of guys that should be better than they are, and were drafted based on size. I am sick of guys that are athletic/incredibly impressive specimens, but aren't BASKETBALL players.

That is a fair take. I am not sure if it is true (because you never really know), but if he chose his HS team based on where he could play PF, and did the same for all of the schools that recruited him for NCAA, I worry about his commitment.
