2025 NBA Offseason News
Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
Maybe I’m answering my own question here but other than health concerns, I don’t see why we wouldn’t be entertaining Brogdon as an option. Slots in well as a 3rd guard. Always strong A:TO. Veteran leader. Nearly 40% from 3 for his career.
Do we just have a bad taste in our mouth from the Tyus Jones experience?

That's a good question. I used to really like him. I think for me it's just that he's had a big drop off in play and injury issues in recent years.Shabazz wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 4:05 pmMaybe I’m answering my own question here but other than health concerns, I don’t see why we wouldn’t be entertaining Brogdon as an option. I think Brogdon makes sense…I just haven’t considered it much because Gambo shot it down. He shot Payne down today too

Brogdon? WTF not Giddey? WTF aren't we going for the GOOD players...I swear, this season is going to cost me the last of my hair...going the full Luthor mode...

I said it on the other thread too, but it’s not as simple as just going after Giddey. We can’t pay him what he wants. Chicago is the only team that can and they want to keep him. What do we have to entice Chicago?

He is cooked due to injuries. It's like if you look at Gary Harris for answers at SG. Ok if you add him to provide a contingency plan but not the player he once was and not reliable in any way.Shabazz wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 4:05 pmMaybe I’m answering my own question here but other than health concerns, I don’t see why we wouldn’t be entertaining Brogdon as an option. I initially thought how could we not be #1 the KD and Beal trades, but then I saw number #1. That makes sense.Kryptonic wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 2:59 pmHey, at least we weren't #1Superbone wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 2:50 pmCan you guess #1?

Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
Without looking I have 2 guesses for number 1 if it's not the Suns, the Mavs for Luka which is an all time blunder, or Brooklyn? But I can't see that being worse than the Suns, gotta be Luka.

I know it's almost halfway up the list but check out #13 lol

Yeah, I went through the same thought process when a friend told me about the article.SunsRIt wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 3:34 pmI initially thought how could we not be #1 the KD and Beal trades, but then I saw number #1. Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
It’s weird to read that no team has a worse long-term outlook than the Suns (quite possibly true) when I am feeling much more optimistic after the draft season. Glutton for punishment I guess!!
Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
Ouch. Monty sure made some enemies in his one year with the pistons. Detroit really didn't make any other big splashes that would get national attention, so I get what ESPN is doing. But at worst, Monty took a 20 win team and made them a 14 win team for one season. At best, Monty was a wakeup call that the roster wasn't balanced and the players didn't have the work ethic and character to win. IMO their improvement last season had more to do with fixing the roster than ditching Monty.
IMO their biggest mistake was Killian Hayes. That's a wasted #7 pick with a lot of good players left on the board.

Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News
I think a lot of that is true but it did show that Monty's big issue is with player relations and player usage. And it leads me to believe that CP3 was the bigger reason for our success.O_Gardino wrote: ↑Wed Jul 23, 2025 6:44 amOuch. Monty sure made some enemies in his one year with the pistons. Could this could be the beginning of the suns “attitude era”?
