They thought they were voting for an antiracist
Republicans?
There’s such a thing as a non-racist, non-Trump voting Republican. They do exist. See Lincoln Project and RVAT.

Yup, that's me and I'll be "throwing away" my vote for Jo Jorgensen.

Yes, she won the GOP nomination for Sheriff... somehow.
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

They thought they were voting for an antiracist, not an anarchist. Easy misunderstanding.
She's the antiracist anarchist antichrist!

It isn't throwing it away. It just helps the front runner in whatever voting district you are in.

538 was very similar at this point in 2016. The betting markets were pretty close to 538, unlike this year.

RCP hasn’t updated since Friday. At least one of the markets they were monitoring stopped taking bets on the election.
538 is at 82-17.

The latest polls are brutal for Trump. CNN has a national poll out today with Trump down by 16 (!) points. There's also a Monmouth poll of Pennsylvania that has Trump down by 12. Polls are imperfect and can change, but if these polls are even close to correct, it's big trouble for Trump.
