I've had my first. The anesthesia technology is amazing. I've been under a handful of times. They have it down to a science. They start counting down just a few seconds and you are out. You suddenly come out and it's all over and you have lost time very similar to my alien abductions.Indy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 8:05 amthat was interesting. Re: Solving the Backup PG Concern
Propofol, the drug I’ve seen most used for colonoscopies, works really fast, but it also wears off really fast. It’s generally what’s used to keep people sedated while intubated and on a ventilator as well.

That’s about how mine went too. Slept like a baby I guess.Superbone wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:12 amI've had my first. The anesthesia technology is amazing. I've been under a handful of times. Re: Solving the Backup PG Concern
I was just thinking about him yesterday, and couldn't decide if it was the best idea or the worst idea. He shot over 40% from 3 last year on a decent number of attempts for a backup guard.
Re: Solving the Backup PG Concern
We’d have to move one of our bigger contracts to get him(Shamet, Saric, or Crowder). Say Shamet and a couple 2nds.
Assuming you have to trade Mikal for KD, that trade is probably Mikal, Crowder, Payne + 4 1sts.
Paul/Booker/CamJ/KD/Ayton
Rose/Lee/Okogie/Craig/Saric
?/?/Wainright/Landale/Biyombo
Not terrible. You could also maybe trade Saric instead of Crowder.

Re: Solving the Backup PG Concern
I think you need more than Shamet to make it happen because he makes 14.5. So the low end is 11.6M. The high end is 18.1.
He also is kind of expiring because he has a team option for next year.

I had a bad experience with anesthesia as a kid, and I guess I'm just scared of never waking up from it. I have actually had abdominal surgery (double hernia repair) with just local anesthesia--zero sedation and zero pain meds afterward.Superbone wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:12 amI've had my first. Re: Solving the Backup PG Concern
You’re right, I was thinking you can take on 5 million, but we’re a tax team so we have to do 125%. At that point we’d have to move two players, though maybe we could add Landale as the 2nd? How quickly can he be traded? Otherwise it means we absolutely have to include Mikal in any KD trade to match salary. I think that would be a pass for me while we wait for KD

Re: Solving the Backup PG Concern
I would think Shamet and Craig would be a good start for matching Rose's salary.
He's not a great shooter, but he can create offense and should be more efficient off the bench and surrounded by better offensive teammates.

Another guy who plays 30 games every year. Also not sure he'd be a fit personality wise.

Ya I think I’d much rather have Clarkson than Rose

Re: Solving the Backup PG Concern
I’ve thought about him, but he’s expensive and has money next year too, though not fully guaranteed. We’d have to move multiple players to match his salary and he really was bad to finish the year for Utah. I think he needs to move to a backup role at this point, and he’d be a great fit, but I wish he had Shamet’s contract.Vladimir_Taltos wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 3:37 pmAny reason we wouldn't want Mike Conley? Quick look seems his #s are better on point than most of the names referenced...

Re: Solving the Backup PG Concern
Conley is too expensive. I would think they wouldn't want to go higher that $15 million and the shorter the contract, the better.

yeah, owed 23M this year is a lot of a back up PG that looked bad to end the season. And even if we cut him he is owed 14M next year.

Same. Had mine about a year ago at 37. My dad had colon cancer when he was 47 so I was able to get one when I did. I was out then groggy and awake. It was nuts.Superbone wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:12 amI've had my first. The anesthesia technology is amazing. I've been under a handful of times. They have it down to a science. What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
