For draft assets? WE NEED SIZE.Wally_West wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 10:32 amHopefully we can cut salary when we trade Grayson and Royce for draft assets. I was joking but now I fully believe we are gonna trade Beal with a treasure trove of 2nds attached.
Re: Durant traded to Rockets
So Suns definitely got shafted here. Do you guys think Green stays or goes? How much did he extend for? Rookie max?
Go Suns!

We can’t make proper moves until Brad Beal’s dumbass is off this roster.SunsRIt wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 11:05 amFor draft assets? Gambo says he's staying. He's got 30ish mil per going forward
Love, Hurts.

That's what is so frustrating about this move. If we'd brought in another piece to fill one of the other holes in our roster we could have got away with keeping Beal. It probably still wouldn't have worked but with Durant gone there was a chance it would.Wally_West wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 11:14 amWe can’t make proper moves until Brad Beal’s dumbass is off this roster.SunsRIt wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 11:05 amFor draft assets? I can only assume we have a Beal trade lined up now if we are intending to start Green as benching Beal to force him to accept a trade didn't work last season.
Re: Durant traded to Rockets
James Jones, while imperfect, understood that it was important to consider things like fit and hard work and character and bb iq. The new regime is just throwing players together with no consideration for any of these things. We now have like $150m tied up in score-first shooting guards. Brilliant.

Re: Durant traded to Rockets
I want to believe there’s a short term plan to develop Dunn, Oso, Jalen Green, and #10 (whom we have to absolutely knock out of the park on draft night), while playing scrappy enough to keep our pick swaps not valuable, and then to add legit talent in Free Agency in Summer of 2027. We’d still have time in Booker’s prime to compete 2028-2030.
I know people hate Jalen Green but with Booker’s size and physical limitations defensively, I don’t think you can put a traditional 6-3 PG next to him. The charitable view of the trade is that the FO thinks they can either rehab Green into a real contributor long term or into a decent trade chip.

I'm so all in on Ott being a sicko that I think he's gonna make this team better just by actually giving a shit.
I think I'm too old to really be super upset anymore, I'll just see what happens.

I thought I’d be much unhappier with this return, but I’m with you. I think I’m just glad we don’t have to pretend that this “big 3” wasn’t an awful consolidation of assets for a miserable game to game experience. I’m excited to watch a team that gives a shit. And that might not be this year, but the next few are more open ended than they were 9 months ago.

I've not watched much of Green. Aside from his +/- what is it about him that people have a problem with specifically?

That's the attitude we've had in our locker room for 2.5 seasons. Is it any wonder it went to shit? I'm glad he's gone. I just wish we could've got a bit more for him.
Re: Durant traded to Rockets
Inefficiency and lack of improvement, he's got incredible tools, he can pressure the rim, he's the best athlete we've had since Gerald Green, he just hasn't shown the want to get better.SunsSince92 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 11:38 amI've not watched much of Green.
