Yea that’s pretty shady imo to record that and put it out there… assuming it’s real.

There are a lot of variables that go into this so I'm not making any judgements yet. Do we owe Klutch a favor or did we do them a favor taking their guy 10th. Was Paul scouring the league after finding out BK and TOR weren't taking Maluach? If we said we were taking someone else or moving back, this video probably doesn't get leaked. They may have a video with him talking to TOR 5 minutes earlier hearing they're taking CMB. So he could be doing the agent/sales thing "If I can get him there". If BK and TOR are passing on him, where else is he gonna go...further down because Portland at 11 wasn't taking him with DA and Clingan on the roster. So Paul could've been avoiding one of those embarrassing draft night drops for a supposed Top 10 pick.

I do wish it were Gregory on the call. I don't like Ishbia says "that'd be my first choice". Semantics but it should be "that'd be OUR first choice" but it just tells me even more he's intent on playing GM whenever he can.

This Rich Paul video is another sign of the ineptitude of our front office. Ishbia directly making the calls himself. Letting the agent play him and talk him into what player to pick. Then letting the agent put out a video making it very clear who was in charge the whole time. Really embarrassing. And it undermines Maluach because it makes it look like the agent got him his draft spot, that he didn't earn it himself. Really bush league of Rich Paul to put this out, but embarrassing for Ishbia and the Suns FO.

I know you are understandably down on the team as a whole, but it’s getting kinda impressive how you can turn every thing into a negative.

I don’t know if we watched the same video, but I don’t see how you can watch that and think Paul talked Ishbia into anything. Ishbia freely offered up that we wanted Maluach. Was our 1st choice. This is an agent and team working together so both get what they want…

I don’t like that Ishbia is the one making those calls, but I have no issue with us doing this kind of stuff.

Well at least if things don’t work out, we have indisputable audio proof that it was Ishbia’s decision.

The scariest part to me is how he says “my first choice” not “our first choice” as a front office team. Like it’s all up to him and he doesn’t even pretend that it’s a collaborative decision. Yikes.

I never respond to the times that he is referenced as a joke.

The gaslighting around here is off the charts. Outside of this tiny little .net bubble, where it may be like 15 to 1, probably about one quarter to one half or more of the fanbase agrees with me.

And I have never called the other half of the fanbase stupid for having a differing opinion. Again, if nobody wants pushback then don’t bring him up.

I'm sorry for complaining so much about the team. I'll try to be more open-minded and positive. I'm sure we all agree that we're rooting for the best for the Suns, and it seems like most of us are excited about all the new young players we've acquired this summer. I hope you will stick around.

Could care less, especially if Malauch becomes a stud. We landed him at 10 and benefited, regardless of Ishbia or the GM was taking the call. I'm sure our GM was in the loop on all of this.

Agreed. Who cares "how it happened" on social media. Did it happen? Is it a universally praised pick at #10? Is it possible it makes us greatly improved? Shouldn't that be what matters? If we had video of every agent and team interaction across the league, we'd probably see this isn't at all uncommon. Need to have something to complain about when there's good vibes coming the Suns way

And there you have it. The rules have been laid out. They should be posted in the phx-suns.net bylaws.
