If Sarver had sold to a dude like this I would have bailed on being a fan. Staring down another 20 years with a cheapskate owner is just not worth the energy.

Sad to see that for Portland fans, who deserve better. You just know they are headed for a Joe Johnson / Sarver moment where somebody like Scoot Henderson is up for a contract and the boss refuses to pay market rate, so he just leaves.

The stuff about the coaching search is crazy. Splitter's done a really good job there and is highly regarded, especially after taking over from the BIllups stuff. Now the new owner is calling other coaches during a playoff run, was going to offer Mike Malone $4mil who took $7.5 from UNC
