Who are the decent players? Ron Holland? They're likely not giving up Ausar. And if the three 1sts are theirs those picks will be in the 20s.
Holland falling out the rotation with Duren due for an extension could make a Green for Holland/Stewart/Filler deal possible. Both add something we lack (size) while Detroit gets a bonafide scorer next to Cade.
I think that one of Booker or Green need to go to Detroit. It just makes too much sense.
Green to the Pistons is a very interesting thought. They seem to need the firepower. Ironically, I thought Orlando might be a destination for him, but they're exposing the Pistons' lack of offense in this 1st round. I still don't think they have any assets I'd want tho. They won't send Stewart, I've never been impressed with Holland and their picks just don't do it for me, tho I'd take two of them in a deal for Green even if they're late round picks. But other than those things, you're looking at some combo of Huerter, Duncan Robinson and Levert.
This could be interesting

It was just last season that Mikal was making great defensive plays in the playoffs. I like the idea of getting him back, but he's not on a bargain deal anymore. Would the Knicks give us a couple of picks to swap him for Green?
His contract is terribad, unfortunately.

I totally get your point of view. Although I think i respectfully disagree regarding Maluach. He is already a defensive game changer.
I want to agree with you there and probably would if Ott gave him enough of a sample size to draw from. He nor Fleming not getting meaningful playoff minutes against a legitimately great team is an Ott misstep.

It's 35m a year, hardly a problem

I had no idea what you're talking about so I found this:

Gambo gives some info on the offseason. Still don't love the Williams situation. We seemingly did everything right with him this year with strengthening in the offseason, holding him out and ramping up early in the year, holding him out of B2Bs, and he still got injured and missed our only playoff series.

I just think Williams is going to command more than what we should pay him given how much we are already paying players not to play for us. Goodwin is top priority for me and shouldn’t be too steep salary wise. Then Gillespie on the right deal, but I fear someone may offer him more than we could or should pay.

He's getting about the same $ as Green but for 2 years longer. You have to pay someone, but yeah, that's maybe 2x Mikal's market value. That's part of why the Knicks would have to add some picks. I doubt they would offer enough to beat other offers we could get for Green,

I really wish Adam Silver would put as much effort into fixing the referee and flopping situation as he would into fixing the tanking "problem". The referees are deplorable and the flopping is incessant.

Flopping would be so easy to fix too. Just start handing out fines. In the moment give techs if you can, but they are hard to catch at times, so just fine after the fact.

Techs need to be reviewed during games as well. First half techs can be reviewed by the league at halftime and rescinded with points from FTs taken away. No use rescinding techs a day later if they're affecting the score during the actual games.

And the NBA is a product, they want their stars and best players winning. The reffing was never honest, it's just worse now. Similar to the NFL changing over the years to protect the QBs to where you can't even breathe on guys like Mahomes. They're protecting the valuable assets.

Let's leave the crook alone while he's making bank, k?

Sad part is there is nowhere to watch pure basketball at a high level, it's all been corrupted.

Yeah, but these refs are idiots and don't see it. OKC players are master manipulators. They pull on their defenders and then fall down and the refs call it every time. What I don't get is how and why it is so one-sided. When Dort tripped Book and he went flying to the ground, they totally ignored it. Did they think Book was flopping? I have no idea what goes on in their pea-sized brains.

Apparently Book is chump change.

I wasn't aware this end of season press conference was going on:

Luckily, I caught it at the end and I am able to rewind back to the beginning and I'm watching it now.

That’s why it needs to be done after the fact too. Someone in the league office can review the games and hand out fines…and scale that fine up for each repeat offense…you get 5 flopping offenses and it’s a 1 game suspension and keep escalating the suspensions too. People will stop.
