Expected Spurs to win. Knicks fans are complaining about the officiating and they have some gripes but the Spurs were just more physical and Castle got into the lane and muscled their players down low. He got downhill and forced the action. Knicks turned the ball over too much and KAT had a down game. He's got to stay aggressive and go at/thru Wemby. If he floats or goes ghost, the Knicks are at a disadvantage. And Shamet's been a quiet x-factor for them and played a great stretch of basketball. Consistency's not his thing usually so if he's cold now, the Knicks will need McBride or Clarkson to fill that scoring gap off the bench.

Another very entertaining game. Wemby finally Wembyd,
Castle stepped up, as he has been doing. This playoffs has been a real eye-opener for the league. We knew Castle was good, but now he has solidified himself in my mind as he 2nd best player on the Spurs. All of his shooting #s are better than ever, and his defense has been very good.
On the Knicks side, Mikal had maybe his worst game of the playoffs on both sides of the floor (but was still +11). Shamet was also a big 0 for the Knicks. But worst of all was Mitch Robinson getting burned in his minutes. Seemed like the Spurs got anything they wanted at the basket for most of the night, and Robinson especially was a liability where he should be at his best.
One thing the Knicks did really well was encouraging the worst shooting Spurs to take jumpers. Devin Vassell was cooking early, then he didn't touch the ball again for a long time while Fox and Harper bricked 3 after 3. The Knicks are just so good at dictating opponents' offence, and the Spurs inexperience played into that as well. Ultimately, it didn't matter.
Did y'all notice the Spurs closed out the game with Fox-Castle-Harper-Vassell-Wemby? That's actually a smaller lineup than the Suns with one minor exception.
Minor exception? It's like saying Titanic was hit by a cube of ice!

Game 3 was super interesting. Spurs got the win they needed. Castle was awesome. I agree with the comment that he seems like the 2nd best player on the Spurs. I know folks seem to like Dylan Harper more, but Castle has really impressed me in this run with his aggressiveness and athleticism. It was interesting to see the Knicks go to KAT less and do a bit more hero-ball. I thought OG Anunoby played great for them. But a lot of their role players didn't give them much, along with KAT's off night. Wemby had a strong game and set the tone.
There's still a huge amount of pressure on the Spurs to win Game 4 at MSG. If they can do that, they could make history and be the first team to come back from 0-2 home losses. Hoping to see them tie the series because that means we'll get 6-7 games.

The question I'm left with,
@Mori Chu is this:
How would you compare n contrast Wemby with DominAyton?

They are very similar, in the same way that a Ferrari and a Yugo are very similar.

Knicks fell off. Good. I hate their fans after what I saw happening when they lost game 3. A bunch of degenerate criminals.

De'Aaron Fox going for the layup while up by 1 when the Knicks needed to foul is an all-time blunder.
He's gonna need something huge to overcome the stench of that moronic decision.

Kind of been the Knicks' MO to come back like that. They're flat in the 1st half and get down big, then a combo of them waking up and the other team not knowing how to play with that big of a lead allows them to get back into the game and win down the stretch with their experience and Brunson's go-to ability. I can't recall a time the Knicks just lost a game start to finish so you knew a run would come at some point. The Spurs couldn't push thru when the 3s stopped dropping and as the lead starting dwindling down you could feel the moment was getting too big for them. Thought Mitch Johnson was guilty of it too, not just the players. A game like that at MSG is serious business. The Knicks have that experience, the Spurs don't right now.
