PJ Tucker had another great game. Glad he's our starting SF. Booker's shot was a little off but I liked his effort on defense. Len was a force in the paint. Glad he's getting lots of minutes to develop as one of our best guys off the bench. To think people around here want Keef traded. It's obvious he's our best player, an emotional leader and has really stepped up his game this season. Glad he spent so much time in the off-season working on improving his game. What more can I say about Hornacek that hasn't already been said? I just love the nostalgia of seeing him on the sidelines. The guy could shoot the basketball. It's only obvious that would translate into a team with high basketball IQ and deadly shooters.

GO SUNS!

Hopefully we have a game against Sacramento soon and Cousins sits out. We look pretty good in the right situation.

Lazy effort. Guys look like crap out there. Hornaceks rotations are just painful. The gameplan is square peg, round hole, thrust, repeat.

Ugh. Fugly offense. Our team can get good teams down to their level because they defend and rebound, but the other half of the court is brutal. Knight has a knack for bad shots, PJ is a liability and there are too many easy shot missed, plus many bad passes as well.

The coach can't keep playing Teletovic before Leuer, Weems instead of Booker and for god's sake don't go small ball against Drummond when he is getting it going. Incredible that decision instead of going with Len, who player pretty well. Bah. TJ has a poor game, bad impact way beyond stats. Knight's defense will prove a real problem soon enough.

Uglyyyyyyyyy.

Given the Suns' offensive creativity, or lack thereof, I expected to see Frank Johnson on the sideline coaching. Watching this team is about as fun as driving a Yugo ...

"It was light," Marcus said of the boos. "It wasn't sh--. If it was in Detroit, it would have been better, louder. They don't even know what they are doing. They don't even know why they are booing. They are out there just booing me. It was trash. I thought it would be a little better than that."

Or maybe they were just saying "Whooooooooo?" As a tribute to the impact you made on the league as Phoenix Sun.

Hornacek sucks. I know some of you guys still love him and buy into his "the players are too stupid to run my plays" smoke screen self serving line of BS -- but -- he sucks for this team and should be considered for nomination into the Frank Johnson / Terry Porter hall of fame

Marcus , despite how much of a dick he has been, has been playing well as a starter for Detroit

Weems and Teletubbie -- they are both SO sick . Hope they get more minutes

This game was no fun at all. Our supposed top 3 players, Bledsoe, Knight, and Morris, all have the bad quality that they seem to put up 18-22 points but need to shoot 20 shots apiece to get there. Our starting guards get 4 and 3 assists respectively. Nobody is really running an offense or setting anybody up.

I could live with all of it except that we are not doing anything to improve for the future. TJ Warren gets only 16 minutes. Booker and Goodwin get DNP-CDs. Inexplicably Teletovic and Weems get minutes.

I don't think Hornacek is the main problem with our team, but I admit that I am starting to give up on his ability to rein in troublesome players or get the guys to do what he wants them to do. Seems like a "players' coach" who just kind of turns the guys loose, and with this roster, I don't know if you can do that.

Thibodeau, anyone? He might not play our rooks much (he's kind of a Mike D in that way), but I bet he'd immediately instill a no-bullshit attitude that our team DESPERATELY needs. I think he's an excellent coach and will make some team really good once he returns to NBA head coaching.

I wish Gentry was available. I think he'd do a great job instilling an offense that would cater to his players and would also do a better job with development of the young guys.

But Hornacek was a gym rat and was really good at shooting the basketball. From everything I've heard, he's a guy with family values. I think we need to give him a fair chance. If this team still isn't performing or improving in the next 3 years, I think we should consider replacing him at that time. Plus, he's a former Sun. That's worth its weight in gold.

Pelicans are 0 and 5. If they keep it up, he might become available.

He is currently a lame duck coach. He's in his final contract year. It will be interesting to see what happens. (I understand you are on a tongue-in-cheek roll but he hasn't been extended yet.)

I've been pushing to fire Horny since the middle of last year. This place is excellent at creating excuses for him. Last year it was that he was playing the "win-now" product while we are still in contention, saying he'd play the "young guys who don't give us a chance to win" after we were eliminated. This year that same bullshit were putting on the court is now for the purpose of showcasing them for a trade. I don't buy it. Horny just sucks. He doesn't know what talent he has on the bench. He doesn't have any control over this team. He makes no adjustments whatsoever. He's horrible.

I don't like the term "lame duck" for this situation. The team not extending him yet doesn't necessarily mean he's gone at the end of the season; what it means is that he has the rest of the season to make the case for why he should be the guy to go forward with this team.

Yes, having to apply to keep your own job kinda sucks. Just like the players, the coach has to deal with the fact that this is a business. So he'll sack up, do his best, and hope it's good enough.

This is the classic coach problem. They get judged on wins and losses, not on developing young players. If Hornacek does a great job bringing along Warren, Booker, Len, and Goodwin, and we go 30-52, he will get fired. If he plays Weems and Leuer and Price and other veterans and we go 45-37 and make the 8 seed, he probably stays. (I don't think playing our younglings would lose us 15 games, but you get my drift.)
