Agreed.Shabazz wrote:Price has a place in this league - As a guy you put in for 5-10 minutes every few games to disrupt the other teams' guards.
He should NOT be getting 22 minutes a night on a consistent basis, especially when a) he's blocking our young shooting guards from playing and b) he's playing all his minutes with Bledsoe and Knight anyways/not providing relief for our PGs.
Ok, I'll bite. Warren should be starting, but he is playing good minutes. Who is going to start instead of Kieff? I would LOVE a starting-caliber PF. We don't have one, really. I like Leuer's energy off the bench, but I don't think he's a starter. But the minutes were good outside of the "starting" labels for the SF and PF positions.AmareIsGod wrote:Sounds the opposite of thinking it was a great rotation. A poor combination of starters. That same poor combination playing in the clutch moments of the game. That to me sounds like poor rotations by the coach. Was nervous with Tucker and Kieff and coming back in at the end, but it worked out this time.
He looked like a starting PF tonight. He was Googs out there, man. Only with a little more range. He was making the right pass, rebounding, defending, driving, dunking, hitting 3's. What more would you want out of your starting PF?azsportsfan wrote: . I like Leuer's energy off the bench, but I don't think he's a starter.
Being awful for most of the game and doing well at the end isn't a game saver. We wouldn't have been in that position in the first place.Superbone wrote:...and game saver. The Bobster wrote:Tucker teeters between non-factor and detriment.
Tucker alone wasn't the reason we needed to be saved. Give credit where credit is due. We probably lose that game if Tucker didn't do what he did to end the game.Indy wrote:Being awful for most of the game and doing well at the end isn't a game saver. Maybe I am crazy, but I didn't see anything that Tucker did late in the game that sealed a win. I was actually screaming at him for the 3 second violation). I just went back to check the play by play and don't see anything their either. In the last 4 minutes he had a TO and a steal, missed 1/made 1 free throw, and had an orb for a put back. He didn't do anything that TJ couldn't have done.Superbone wrote:Tucker alone wasn't the reason we needed to be saved. Give credit where credit is due. It is probably more accurate to say that sometimes our back court is great.Mori Chu wrote:Our team is great except for the frontcourt, and sometimes the backcourt.
I don't think you're crazy but you have a closed mind to Tucker. Actually watch the last 4 minutes. Don't look at a transcript. The offensive rebound and put back with seconds left on the clock was huge. Yes, Bledsoe obviously ended the game with the Scola block.Indy wrote:Maybe I am crazy, but I didn't see anything that Tucker did late in the game that sealed a win. If anyone sealed the deal, it was Bledsoe with that block/rebound on Scola (to atone for his missed FT and TO right before).
I defend him more than most here. I just think he is a net nothing this season, and he keeps proving me right. At least Bledsoe's ridiculous TOs are (usually) more than balanced out on his defense, rebounding, and scoring.you have a closed mind to Tucker.
I wasn't talking about his contribution for the season. I was talking about the three big plays down the stretch in this game. Yes, the ORB putback was off an air ball. It was a tough hook over his head for the basket.Indy wrote:I defend him more than most here. I just think he is a net nothing this season, and he keeps proving me right. Quick question: was that ORB and putback off an air ball? Wouldn't it have to be with only seconds left on the shot clock? I don't remember an air ball from Keef.
Exactly. Three non-scorers in our starting line up is awful. So far this season, BOTH of our starting guards score as much as our entire starting front court. It is sad.The Bobster wrote:But this year Tucker's rebounding has fallen off.
He's, physical and a willing defender, but his offense has been a complete dud this year and we can't afford to have two complete non-scorers (Tucker & Chandler) in the starting lineup while Morris is still doing whatever it is he's doing.
