Knight has one really underrated skill that doesn't get brought up enough: the ability to put up an inconceivably bad stat line through 2.5-3 quarters, but nearly redeem it in meaningless garbage time. He's quite excellent at that.
I mean, 22 shots for 21 points with 4 assists and 8 turnovers is really, really, really bad, but it's a definite step up from his stat line midway through the 3rd.
Also, pretty sure Markieff (still here) injured his shoulder when he missed that dunk. Good job. Good effort.

The kids still need to learn the right lessons, despite the overall state of the team. We have to realize that tanking doesn't come without perils, one of them being young players developing bad habits.
Taking him out of the game because he didn't hustle is a good teaching moment. The problem is never giving him another chance in the same game to correct his mistake. That just leaves a pissed off player.
You give the kid another shot in the second half or whatever and see if he will then put in the effort.
I think Coach just has a thing for PJ.
Agreed. It's also sending mixed messages when you're yanked after 3 minutes for poor hustle, but your "leader" and $70M PG is shooting 1-12 with 1 assist and 8 turnovers on jump-passes and foot-dribbles with no repercussions. And your awful Power Forward throws a towel at the coach and is back in the starting lineup 5 games later.

True. Hopefully he comes around.

I was thinking Booker might have a 30 point game this season. I just didn't think it would happen so quickly.

Same here. It was a race towards 30 losses as a team and a 30 point Booker game. It ended up a tie.

I like how they got Dr. Hibbert to call that game.

So, I listened to the Wednesday McDonough interview on AZSports last night and got some insight into why Warren played so few minutes in this game. Hornacek took both him and Archie out due to lackadaisical defense. That explains why Archie was playing so hard defensively in the second half. I don't have any problem with coach doing that.
