Please explain.
I've been very unimpressed with Simmons just about every time I've watched. Just finished the LSU/UK game and he looked very pedestrian.
I know you're sour on this crop generally, but is there someone you're high on?

OK, thanks. I have only read about him. I've never seen him play to this point. Sure doesn't sound like a sure thing.

I feel the other way around. I think Ingram has Kevin Durant type potential if he can match KD's work ethic.

Simmons looks to be like an all star caliber player but not much more than that. A rich man's prime Andre Igoudala.

Prime Iguodala sounds fine to me.

Andre Igoudala is like 6'5, 6'6, SG or SF. Isn't Simmons a 6'10 PF?

In shoes with a 7'0 wingspan. I don't know that I agree with that comparison other than maybe Iggy didn't shoot that well coming out like Simmons. Still think Lamar Odom is the comparison that I agree with most after watching him a handful of games. I will say that he will have to quit being so passive at the next level or he won't succeed.

Simmons will be fine, he looks passive on the court and still drops 20/12/5 every game. The concerns about him are just nit picking, trying to find flaws in an exceptionally talented player.

Part of the problem is he went to LSU, put real NBA players around him that can shoot and score and he'd be just fine.

Simmons will be fine, although he's not a perfect prospect as he has his flaws, but I can't think of another draft eligible player that's better.

They said the same thing about Karl Malone--thought there was a problem with his motor based on college play.

I think it's just to easy for some players.

That could be it. Some insider didn't even put Simmons on his NCAA first team today.

It was the knock on Wiggins too. Now I've got some doubts about his star potential, but it's not a motor issue. Simmons has similar issues to diaw or even lebron and kg. All of them had issues at times just putting the team on their backs and getting buckets. His first instinct is to move the ball, he's got to learn when to takeover.

Stop it. First, I really don't care what the media says about him. I'm going off of what I see. And at the end of the regular season, I was convinced Wiggins was a stud. It's not even close with Simmons.

From what I've seen and comparing Simmons to Wiggins, Simmons is going to be better..

Fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion. I just disagree. I'd take Simmons over Wiggins right now. Partially cuz I'm afraid Wiggins is just Rudy Gay 2.0.

Wiggins was trashed (rightfully so) particularly with how his college career ended in a 4pt 1-6 effort vs a Stanford team Kansas was favored to beat by double digits. I remember watching that game...dude looked like deer in headlights and wanted no parts of the ball down the stretch.

Simmons is a better prospect because he can just do a lot more at a higher level. He's a better passer, much better rebounder, can score in more ways and at this age is more polished then Wiggins was at 18. He can play in the half court or in transition. It's a between the ears question with Simmons, Unfortunately its very difficult for us as fans to judge a kids character, work ethic or motivation without knowing them or what people around them are saying. It just is....we only see whats on the court not whats off it.

Bogut had some good things to say about Ben Simmons on the bill Simmons podcast. Worth a listen from someone who knows the guy and has played with him
