I’m also buying the Greg as CEO theory.
No way.
As a puppet CEO to Matsson (who screws Shiv in the process).
It just seems like a plausible ending.

I follow…
but that’s a big reason why I’m predicting Twin Cities Tom to get the nod.
Despite somehow working his way into the graces of Matsson, everyone still treats Greg like the doofus that he is. Also, this show takes it self too seriously to crown the guy who vomited inside of a mascot costume in his first appearance.

I wonder if...
Kendall will "win" and just as he's about to feel good about himself the car accident from season 1 will come to light.
I was 85% right on this one.
All time great show. So bummed that it’s over.

Been watching the last season of Fear The Walking Dead. Meh
American Idol was really stacked with talent this year. Of course it turns into a popularity contest after the judges let the fans take over voting and you end up with the most popular people and not necessarily the best singers or performers.

I nailed it.
Really good show, but I’m glad it’s finished. As much as I enjoyed the performances and writing, continuing this backstabbing chess game would’ve been a bad thing for the legacy of the show in the long run.

Good show,
but still leaves the kids a bit open ended. Thought Shiv's turn at the end was a little weird, even if she was right about Kendall. You give away the family company just to kind of spite your brother? She could've killed the deal, kept the company in the family, and then killed Kendall once he's CEO and plotted that takeover. Maybe she knows she's good either way with Tom as CEO and Mattson taking over. Tom makes sense because he's a good face-of-the-company empty suit.
Also weren't they all buying ATN in the first episode of the season? That just went away? Could that be revisited to get them back in the game?

I'm way behind on Fear. So many shows I like. Maybe I'll just bail on it. Haven't even started Lucky Hank yet which I hear is very good. And thanks for not spoiling AI as I still have the final episode to go but I just watched the next to last episode so I already know who made the top 3 based on fan voting and I'm assuming he's going to win it all. We Ani was a huge talent that should have made top 3.

I also need to watch all of Arrested Development before I start Succession. Somehow I missed that through the years and it has a lot of my favorite actor/comedians.

Shiv's turn made complete sense to me. She's far closer to the power seat with Tom and Matsson in control than she would've been with Ken because he would've never taken her seriously in the triumvirate, and even worse, very likely would've tanked the company. All bets were off when Ken lied about killing the waiter. The writers had been waiting to play that card for years, and you had to know it would be the final nail in Ken's CEO coffin. Then he lied about it when confronted? It was a wrap for Shiv and Roman after that. Ken will never win because he's an idiot. Oh, and she also has like a billion more dollars now.
ATN was brought into the deal early in the season when they all met at the retreat in Sweden. Roman told Matsson to fuck off but then Matsson met the absurd asking price so Ken and Roman kind of shrugged and took the "win". After that, it was just them trying to kill the deal because everyone else getting a slice of the payout was ecstatic at the final number.

Barry finale discussion
► Show Spoiler
First of all, I didn't know there were only 8 episodes so his death caught me by surprise as I didn't even know I was watching the finale. What a turnaround, eh? Cousineau being tagged as the mastermind behind it all? Didn't expect that. Poor NoHo dies and Fuches survives? At least Fuches realized who he was. Still felt bad for Barry's son, John at the end having a mother that didn't really love him. I thought they had a breakthrough when captured but he tells his mother he loves her at the end and she doesn't reciprocate. It seems like all she cares about is acting.

Definitely. She was my favorite. I think we will be hearing more from here. Lots of losers have gone on to more success than the winners do.

^ Arguably that tweet is a spoiler. Not sure how long we want any spoiler embargo on Succession, but it did just air 1-2 days ago.

Sorry, thought it may have been obscure enough with the one image. Changed it tho.

I enjoyed the latest Indiana Jones movie this past holiday weekend. It felt more like the original one, imo.

It sounds like it’s bombing in the theatre though. In six months it will be on TV. I wonder if movie theaters are going to survive. Times have changed. People stopped going to theaters. Giant shopping malls are ghost towns and being torn down.

Movie theaters are definitely on the decline but I don't know if IJ5 is a good indicator of things. Ford is 80 and a lot of the fans are probably 30-35+. You're not getting the parents and younger viewers you would for the big Disney cartoon movies or MCU/DCU comic book movies. I think MI6 will be big, so will Barbie and Oppenheimer. After Crystal Skull, I'm not paying for IJ5. I will be seeing Oppenheimer, maybe MI6 and probably Killers of the Flower Moon in October.

IJ5 was much better than Crystal Skull. Crystal Skull was a disaster and I thought would be my last Indy movie.

Wife and I started watching For All Mankind on Apple TV. Where the Soviets landed on the moon first (alternative history Sci-Fi). It has great acting and a great script. We've been loving it. Season 1, Episode 6 at the moment.
