Yes! Should be an exciting game. Maybe they all rest.
Your excitement and enthusiasm is palpable.
I'll be 40 in about a week. It's just part of getting old(er). Fleeting optimism.
It’s not but congrats. Enjoy your 40s.

Fine. It's not part of getting older. You're proof. My dad is proof after his spinal surgery, big weight loss, being active and demeanor change. He's happier than he's ever been since I can remember as an adult and he was born in 1955.

I'm just poking fun at turning 40 soon and using it as the basis of my bit of early season pessimism. It doesn't help that I'm in a hotel in Indy for work and YouTube TV doesn't let me watch games outside of Phoenix. Super lame.

Go Suns!

Very cool about your dad. Yeah, that sucks being on the road. I hope you are able to celebrate your birthday at home.

Good to hear the old man’s kicking butt! Seriously… that’s awesome.

Getting older can be difficult but a lot of it is your frame of mind 😉. I’m sure seeing your old man now helps give you some positive reassurance.

Fans gonna be fans. Right now, it's looking like we would have been better off keeping Mikal, Johnson, and draft picks.

Had we not traded for Durant, we would probably not have got Beal, or Gordon and all the other good players who signed here for the minimum. We’d basically be rolling back last year’s team, and wouldn’t be having any more fun than we are now.

That last part is hard to know. The previous team was clutch. Our record could be considerably better right now.

Possibly... but at the very least we'd have some draft picks and a younger core :P

The previous team from a year ago, with CP3, Mikal, CamJ, CamPayne, and others, would probably be playing better right now. But I agree that that team probably would not have gotten most of these guys to come sign for the minimum, like KBD, Eric Gordon, Yuta, Eubanks, and others. And we wouldn't have Nurk, Grayson Allen, Little, etc. And KD is averaging 30ppg, for all the hemming and hawing.

The team we had a year ago was a great regular season team that couldn't get past the best teams in the league like the Nuggets and Bucks. And CP3 couldn't survive through entire seasons and playoff runs and stay healthy. And the issues with our former starting center are well documented. As much as I miss Mikal, I don't think we would have been able to win a title with that core.

Wrong.

The team was clutch in the year of the finals run. Last year was not the case, neither the year before.

The reason for our demise is simple. It’s the stupid ass El Valle jersey and court.
