I feel dirty saying this, but If I thought Jalen Green was going to be healthy again starting next year, it'd be pretty tempting to flip Book for Giannis.
That's a dirty thing to do to Book, but, Giannis is simply a better player and fills more of a need. I know Giannis is older and probably won't age super well given how much he depends on athleticism, but I also don't think Booker will age that well since his shooting has gotten worse and worse as he has gotten older. If he wanted to be productive at age 37 he'd need to be a deadly spot-up shooter to make up for losing his athleticism, and I don't think he's on track to do that.
I have heard some people say that Book's contract extension is going to be a disaster as he gets older. I don't fully agree with that, but I do think it could be a problem in a few years if he starts to fade a bit in terms of being off his peak performance.
I also think that it's much easier to find a decent SG than it is to find a generational dominant PF/C who can smash through everybody. Giannis basically single-handedly bullied his way through us to a title. He is still that player. And, maybe this is wishful thinking, but I actually think Giannis is going to find a way to be effective even when he gets older. He is dependent on his power now, but I think he will learn new moves and ways to be impactful as his athleticism starts to leave him. Even Shaq did that and had a pretty nice late career resurgence.
