I feel dirty saying this, but If I thought Jalen Green was going to be healthy again starting next year, it'd be pretty tempting to flip Book for Giannis.

That's a dirty thing to do to Book, but, Giannis is simply a better player and fills more of a need. I know Giannis is older and probably won't age super well given how much he depends on athleticism, but I also don't think Booker will age that well since his shooting has gotten worse and worse as he has gotten older. If he wanted to be productive at age 37 he'd need to be a deadly spot-up shooter to make up for losing his athleticism, and I don't think he's on track to do that.

I have heard some people say that Book's contract extension is going to be a disaster as he gets older. I don't fully agree with that, but I do think it could be a problem in a few years if he starts to fade a bit in terms of being off his peak performance.

I also think that it's much easier to find a decent SG than it is to find a generational dominant PF/C who can smash through everybody. Giannis basically single-handedly bullied his way through us to a title. He is still that player. And, maybe this is wishful thinking, but I actually think Giannis is going to find a way to be effective even when he gets older. He is dependent on his power now, but I think he will learn new moves and ways to be impactful as his athleticism starts to leave him. Even Shaq did that and had a pretty nice late career resurgence.

Would you guys trade Green, Grayson/Royce, Maluach, and two of Oso, Dunn and Fleming for Giannis?

My best offer would be green, Williams and Dunn.
And Royce for Salary.

Doing this depletes our depth and puts us right back to the KD situation. The only way I’d do it is for book, Fleming, and malauch.

I don’t love Giannis’ personality.

What about it do you not like? He's always seemed pretty affable to me.

He’s been very passive aggressive about his plans with Milwaukee, which I guess is not all that unusual with NBA superstars, but his not being clear about mid to long term plans has led Milwaukee to push all in for a lot of questionable deals, and to this fairly desperate state today. And the whole manipulating the message to appear like he doesn’t want out is just ridiculous. That “my agents are saying I want out I don’t want out but I can’t control them” spiele was a joke.

He basically used 55 seconds to say nothing. But still mildly relevant that Lowe even interviewed him.

You don't mess with the Sochan!

Sochan seems like he could be a good rotational piece who can share a bit of the ball handling duties but also guard some bigger guys than Royce or Allen, always liked him, plays with a bit of an edge.

I just wish he could shoot.

Wouldn't be available if he could.

What does Sochan give us that Dunn doesn't? I haven't watched him much so I'm just asking.

Dribbling and passing. He’s more Oso than Dunn.

He's a good enough ball handler that the Spurs experimented with him at PG not long ago.

We have Oso. What's the point. The two of them cannot share the court if Sochan can't space.
