Pretty sure he went to work for the Rockets, but then decided to come back to AZ. I don't think he worked for the Celtics or anyone else for that matter.SwingMan wrote:The original UO (there's also "UODucks4life", but UO - originally "UnrelentingOrder" - was the original UO. Wasn't OE like 13 years old when he first started posting here?). He was working in some capacity with the Rockets, then the Celtics and then ????? Haven't heard from him in 5-6 years.
Who was that SOB who chimed in every year about Jason Kidd being a "flawed player" or somesuch? He only had the one phrase - about as pathetic a troll as you'd ever seen.
Phxsuns.net is dead, long live phx-suns.net!

You sure? I could swear he was in Boston sometime after his Rockets gig. Never remember hearing about him making his way back to Az.Indy wrote:Pretty sure he went to work for the Rockets, but then decided to come back to AZ. Anyone know his last name? I could see about looking him up on Facebook.

Tyler (UO) had been a Suns ballboy for a couple of years in high school. I think he did an internship w/the Rockets and then worked with the Celtics organization a couple of years. Last I heard he was back in metro Phoenix. SODC (oldest son) heard from him on occasion.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

Maybe I'm wrong. Could swear last time we messages he was coming back from Rockets to AZ.

I could have the order wrong. But I do remember he was with the Celtics for a year or two.
Speaking of front offices, Razor's Edge father-in law worked fairly high up in the Suns hierarchy at one time. RE gave us primo tickets once to a game he couldn't attend; so we had sixth-row seats to the Portland game when Amare went off for 50.

I think that rings a bell now. Interned with Celts and worked for Rockets.
Re: Phxsuns.net is dead, long live phx-suns.net!
Haven't seen RE/Batman around in a long while.

I'm grateful to both Sose and Mori. I love talking basketball and the Suns specifically. What happened to our local "Debbie Downer", Wormwood?

He's over at RealGM. I PM'd him & I think a couple others have as well. I didn't get a response.In2ition wrote:I'm grateful to both Sose and Mori. I love talking basketball and the Suns specifically. What happened to our local "Debbie Downer", Wormwood?

Yep - RE floated me tickets for a couple of games in 2001-2002. Used to get attacks of conscience because they were no worse than 10th row, lower bowl - sure was grateful, though.LazarusLong wrote:I could have the order wrong. But I do remember he was with the Celtics for a year or two.

For those who might be interested in knowing, I found UO on Facebook and messaged him, complete with a link to the board here, so i guess we'll see one way or the other if he's interested in returning to the newest incarnation.....

I used to get tickets from work. They were right behind the suns bench, and just high enough that you could still see everything except the near baseline when the players were seated. It was great.SwingMan wrote:Yep - RE floated me tickets for a couple of games in 2001-2002. Nope - 4 years before.Indy wrote:Was he born after you graduated, Swing? That's when I start to feel old...
But, I'll tell you what's really kind of depressing - there's women I know who were 2-3 years behind me in high school who are now (relatively brand new, but still) grandmothers.

Re: Phxsuns.net is dead, long live phx-suns.net!
Well to be fair, you can easily be a grandmother by 40 without trying too hard. Even 38 without breaking any social norms too badly.

Yep - they're in their early 40's now (one was 37 when i first found out a few years back), but still - GRANDmothers and they're younger than I am.Indy wrote:Well to be fair, you can easily be a grandmother by 40 without trying too hard. Even 38 without breaking any social norms too badly.

I think UO actually made an account here and posted once in the "Welcome to the new site" thread. Or maybe my old brain is giving out.SwingMan wrote:For those who might be interested in knowing, I found UO on Facebook and messaged him, complete with a link to the board here, so i guess we'll see one way or the other if he's interested in returning to the newest incarnation.....

Anyways, I left him a note at Facebook - we'll see, althogh he's likely pretty busy & tired being a first-time father just 4 days ago.....

Mori -- thanks again for resurrecting the community. We don't have everyone here, but IIRC we seem to have most of the old crowd here.
It's good to hang here with you, Swingy, Cap and the rest of the crew.
