Ugh, the Blazers medical staff should be taken out into the street and shot. They ended Brandon Roy's career by letting him play on busted wheels, and now they're letting LaMarcus run around and risk further injury for no good reason. It's such a bush league move to not care about the long-term health of your players like that. Portland has consistently screwed this up in recent years.

Bill Simmons's latest article had a good term: "market max player." That is, since the cap is going up so much with the new TV deal pending, there are guys who are worth the current max. I think Klay is a max player by that definition. He's one of the best couple of 2-guards in the NBA, too, so I think you can make a case that he's a "max player" regardless of the cap being about to rise or TV deals.

i wouldnt have given him a max level or near max level contract based on last season's stats, but he's earning it this year. compare his percentages from last season and this season.
