Phoenix Suns' Morris twins accused of beating former mentor
...
Phoenix police say they are seeking aggravated assault charges against the Morris twins and three others in the alleged January attack.
According to police documents made available Wednesday, Eric Hood was leaving a basketball game Jan. 24 at a Phoenix sports complex when he was approached by one of the five people.
Hood told police that five people, including the Morris brothers, repeatedly kicked and hit him.
Police say Hood suffered a fractured nose, abrasions and a large bump on his head.
...
Just sick, the bad kind of sick.

Methinks some house-cleaning is in order.

We need to bring in a Cotton Fitzsimmons.

How big of a turd sandwich would we hsve to eat to clean some of said house though? I dont think teams will be beating our door down to acquite the Assault bros or captain turnover.

They're not exactly the Van Arsdale twins.

Why can't the Suns front office and coach just keep their traps shut? -

I dunno, how miserable did the terry porter years feel? Cuz, right now, this feels worse.

No, the Terry Porter / Blanks years were HORRIBLE. This year is a big disappointment, but that era was way worse. The big differences this time are:
* We don't have a ton of horrendous contracts like we had back then, with T******u, Childress, Warrick, etc.
* We have a significantly better coach (though not saying he's great or perfect)
* Our GM is
significantly better (though not saying he's great or perfect)

Agreed, Mori. These days are intriguing. I like a lot of our pieces, and the pieces I don't like are easily moved (and valuable, regardless what people say). If I'm a competing GM, I'm looking at the Suns as a team I can strike a deal with.
Question - if we trotted out a team featuring Knight, Warren, and Len, would Horny bail?

It feels worse in a different kind of way. Back then I felt from the coach on up to the owner was hindering our progress. Now I feel that's sort of fixed and now the players and their agendas are hindering our progress causing our front office to react with desperate moves. The inmates running the asylum so to speak.

Green is lousy on defense. So is Kieff, who demonstrated his defensive know-how against Dallas by rotating down on a guard and letting Dirk have a wide open look from the arc. That's Dirk, as in Nowitzki, one of the greatest shooting big men in the history of the game. Guess Kieff didn't know that. The Morris twins get away with all sorts of crap, but Hornacek would rather bang on Green to make a stupid point.
I hope Green gets a nice contract somewhere else and drops 40 on the Suns next season.

Do you guys mean the Lindsey Hunter period? Terry Porter was our coach for 51 games during the Steve Kerr era when we had Shaq, Nash and Amare. His coaching of Nash was referred to as "trapping a hummingbird in a sandwich bag."
Lindsey Hunter was the coach during the tail end of the Lance Blanks era. That was, to me, much worse than this.

Babby on Bickley and Morrotta....said team played hard last night...called atlanta effort "unacceptable".
On Gerald Green....just a lot of frustration from lots of people. Said a lot of the same stuff hornaceck said about defense goes down when offense sputters...says agent's talk was a lot of posturing for a free agent.
On Goodwin complaining about "ambiguity of roles", what does Jeff H need to do: Says absolutely nothing...says everyones working hard blah blah blah...last year Jeff H was candidate for COY...blah blah blah. Jeff and everyone will take a "hard look" on how to get better blah blah blah.
On needing veteran voice...says he should have pushed harder for more veteran leadership.
On lots of yapping from players...any concern of frustration leading to more Dragic type situations. Says just typical frustration blah blah blah. Blah blah blah frustration....blah blah..lots of success last two years trying to make playoffs....blah blah...steady hand...blah blah....
On the police report on the Morrii and what it means to the their future: Cant comment. Cant comment or reacting to something thats run its course...blah blah blah.
On preaching patience....says same guys being talked about for COY and GM of the year (last year) are still. Has tremendous confidence and trust in those guys (sounds like Jeff H is going nowhere).
On positives to take from this year.....so many players young...would be making playoffs in east (oh brother). Young young young..blah blah blah...summer of development.

Look, he's not wrong but that "in the East" stuff just pissed me off. Stop trying to qualify every god damn thing and just admit that you aren't any good. Recognize the fan base is frustrated. Promise you'll weed out the unlikable dickheads from this team and get better.

I don't know. I was watching G Green's defense in particular last night and he is pretty darn bad.

I think I can speak for everybody and sa being "good enough to qualify if we were in the East" isn't really what we were looking for this year.
