And of course offensive execution just kills us in the clutch. Is it still 2014?

It's a nice shot, but how do you leave Davis?

A minute left...tie game...they give up a three and turn it over on the other end.

Yea Bledsoe passed up a layup because he was scared OF Davis. Dunno if Davis was even going to try for that

They'll blow New Orleans out on Wednesday, but these are the type of games that kill.

You can't shoot under 30% on your 2-point shots and still expect to win.

Pelicans are not good enough to make us not play our normal style. Benching our centers was a mistake. So was not giving the rook another shot after how well he played.

Damn. Lack of an offense or any strategy sucks. We are sunk until we get a better coach . We have many problems but no offense sucks. I don't get the benching of booker or chandler / len ...why is chandler in now??? I'm so confused what the hell

Good, let's call a timeout and run our 6-point play.

Basically we told New Orleans we were going to try to beat them with Tucker and Teletovic instead of Chandler and Len.

If you're a good team you don't let the other team dictate to you, you have to do what you do well and play your best players.

At least Chandler and Len should be rested for the Spurs.

Coach sucks still sorry - much love

I think the small ball was a hangover from the Denver game where we couldn't miss from 3 and I guess we hoped that would bail us out again. I'm glad we lost so the following reasons: We finally have size, so you might want to use that against one of the best C's in the game + We have up over 120 points. So it should be fairly obvious we cant just ride 3pt shooting to try and out gun the opposition constantly. I really wanted to see how our bigs would fare against davis and was largely denied that chance

Suns are getting into the habit of slow starts again like they have been known to do in the past. Can't play catch up all game and hope to win it at the end. The bizarre sub pattern doesn't help. Davis went off on us. If only we had a tall defensive minded center to put on him...

I get giving Teletovic more mins to get in rhythm but is shot selection is approaching Gerald Green territory.

Didn't see the game but I get the feeling like it'll be like this most of the year because of our personnel and style. We win a few, lose a few, look great and score a bunch of points, look sloppy and not be able to knock down shots. I think it'll mainly be because we don't have legit scoring/go-to options and reliable offense. We have two scoring guards who take a lot of jumpers and one (Knight) seems to be a bad shot shooter. I know that's the way the league is trending, but it's very hard to be consistently good with that formula. And what's more, I don't love the rest of the roster, mainly at the 3/4 spots.

The slow starts beg the question of whether we should change our starting lineup. IMO, Keef doesn't really help us on either end as a starter at the 4 spot. When we put him at the 5, that helps our offense but cripples our defense. Of course, I'm in favor of leaving him out of the equation entirely.

I would really like to see us try TJ and PJ as starters at the 3 and 4 spots.

Anyone else notice how we were reacting to their lineup changes the whole game? We put Price on the floor to slow Ish Smith. We went without a center as soon as they took Asik off the floor. Why not make them react to us a little bit? And as if anyone wondered, Keef on AD didn't exactly work.

Overall, I was pretty happy with our effort. I'm in favor of moving Keef for another bench contributor and moving TJ into the starting lineup. Our guards, for all their positives, are streaky, and I don't think we do them any favors by telegraphing to the opponent that we are of course going to them every time down the floor. I suppose coach likes to go with PJ and Keef knowing that each of them can post up fairly effectively if a guard switches on to them in a P&R. That advantage ceases if we run TJ and PJ with the starters. IDK.

Considering his amazing stat line going into half-time, his second half was awful. I loved that he owned that.

But as you said, it isn't just on him.
