Time: 3:00 pm AZ (2:00 pm PT/5:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

Both teams come in riding a two game winning streak.
The consecutive-night wins earned the Suns a new distinction on the eve of the Celtics' visit -- at 20-42, they no longer have the worst record in the Western Conference. That now belongs to the Los Angeles Lakers (19-43), who suffered their 43rd loss Friday night at the hands of the Celtics, 115-95.

A big reason for the Suns' rise in the Western rankings has been the play of Alan Williams off the Phoenix bench.

The second-year power forward had totaled 41 points in his previous 44 games before exploding for 16, 17, 11, 16 and 14 off the bench in his last five, producing three double-doubles along the way.

The Phoenix native got a particular joy out of his 14-point, 13-rebound effort against Oklahoma City on a night the Suns were honoring longtime radio voice Al McCoy.

"That's for you, Al," Williams shouted in McCoy's courtside direction in the final seconds of the win.

"It's not often you can write a script like this," Williams told reporters afterward. "I grew up listening to Al. Getting a chance to get to know him these past couple years has been truly special for me."

With Williams and rookies Tyler Ulis and Derrick Jones Jr. leading the way, the Suns' backups have outscored their Hornets and Thunder counterparts by a total of 108-45 in the last two games.
Go Suns!!!

Looking forward to this one. Now that the younglings play, every game has an excitement to it, whether we win or (more likely) lose.

Totally agree. So much about this squad has been night and day since ASB. Ulis for Knight 8-) , the Sauce Ascension  , the debut of TJ Cool and Airplane Mode :o - goodness. Has as much to do with moving on from PJ as moving of from Knight.

It's also nice that during the stretch I finally came to accept that McD's 2013 #5 selection was a bust, I also learned that he hit two doubles and a triple with his waiver wire selections and his 2016 2nd round selection. It's a relief. I've been geeking out since Friday night.

GO SUNS!!!!
:D

P.S. I'll hang out with you guys for the game. It's been too long. Just curious - how many of those here were part of the original migration from azcentral? I've been with you guys since before Backcourt 2000. Dating back to those halcyon days of Kidd & McDyess. Oh, what might have been... one of the great runners-up to the early-2000s Lakers steamrollers.

I want to see Ulis get a start here at some point. Give Bledsoe a day off and let Ulis play 35 minutes and see what he can do. A matchup against IT would actually be a good time to do it.

Trade everyone over 26. Old people are the worst. Also, love Dudely, but I think he is getting fatter by the day. How about setting a good example for the young kids?

So happy to see Ulis going crazy. He should've been playing this many minutes from the beginning.

The mighty mite show, I love it! Ulis with his career high in the first half with most (all?) his points coming in the 2nd quarter. Also, Chriss is coming into his own before our eyes. Fantastic play from him in this one so far.

They seem to be a little fuzzy on the whole "tanking" thing, but oh well.
