Game Day: Lakers (19-45) @ Suns (21-43), Thurs 3/9/17

Time: 8:30 pm AZ (7:30 pm PT/10:30 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: TNT

I expect a bloodbath tonight. These are two teams going in opposite directions.

For Bobster :):
Perhaps inspired by a surprising second-place finish in the dunk competition, Jones has been near-perfect in the Suns' seven games since the break. He's missed only three of his 19 shots and averaged 5.1 points off the bench.

Jones enters Thursday's game with an 80.8 field-goal percentage, easily the league's best among all players with 25 or more attempts this season.

In fact, no player in NBA history has ever made 80 percent of his shots (minimum 25 attempts) over the course of a full season. Jelani McCoy of Seattle holds the record, having shot 56-for-76 (73.7 percent) during the 1998-99 season.
Go Suns!!!

Exactly the kind of situation that might turn into a "pride" game for the Lakers?

One can only hope. 'Twill be much more fun to defeat a Lakers team that's playing for pride than one that's content to lose.

The season ain't over yet!

Jones has been pretty frugal in his shot attempts. 84% of his shots have come with 3 feet of the basket, 14 of his 21 FGs are dunks. 54% of his FGA are dunks.

The Lakers are soft. We're gonna take their lunch money.

I'm not convinced that this Lakers squad has pride. I'm with 'Bone. The Suns will assert themselves tonight.

Which Laker players are the Suns going to scuffle with tonight? My money is on Randle or Black.

Apparently Bledsoe is questionable, is it Ulis time? I hope its Ulis time.

What would it take to lose to the lakers? Maybe if we switched our PNR attack and had Ulis setting screens for Alan Williams as the ball handler.

I think we blow them out, lets run Ulis-Booker-Jones-Chriss-Williams for 35 minutes each, let Knight play the backup 1 and 2 minutes, Warren will cover the backup 3 and 4 minutes, Len cover the backup 5 minutes. Rest Bled, Chandler, Duds, and Barbosa

That 10:30 tip is going to be rough, especially with some early Friday morning meetings. :(

Bledsoe has hyperextended his knee. The same knee which he's had multiple meniscus surgeries on.

So who plays point tonight when it's not Ulis? Is Knight going to play? Or Price? Or will we let Booker or Barbosa run the point?

They're not the only team that isn't putting up much defensive resistance.
