Well I'm guessing this kinds of quells the Warren feeling like the odd man out talk with all the MF Jackson love over the summer. I think this is great though because I like TJ's game so hopefully Watson gets a good mix of minutes and lineups.....

Fair deal, IMO.

Good news. I think P.J. will be a productive, dependable player.

I feel like this is a steal. Really happy we locked him up.

Very good deal for a guy who will score a ton for us over the next 4 years.

12 million per is pretty fair for Warren. Hopefully he has a big year and that turns into a steal.

I was wondering after the TJ love fest from McDonough during media day if he would get extended. I didn't have to wonder long.

As opposed to having Len in which we'd still be a bad rebounding and defensive team? Might as well play to our strengths rather than to cover our weaknesses

I think this works out in the Suns favor.
1. TJ, I believe is goimg to blow up, and he felt like he was the lost man in #TheTimeline with the drafting and lovefest for Jackson. He would have cost a lot more next year as a RFA, and/or been a higher cap hold next year.
2. They clearly liked TJ and wanted him to know they valued him.
3. He has great value as a multipositional forward, where his game resembles a bit of an old school 4, but is a more natural scoring 3. He can play in the lineup with Jackson at the same time.
4. The game is built and won around multiple wings, and possibly losing him is going to set the team back, if only a little
5. Word was that Warren was pretty much unguardable in workouts recently.

1-4 it's fine. Bledsoe and Jackson should be/are above average rebounders and defenders. Warren is average at the 4. Booker is probably below average at both this year. Chriss/Bender would be pretty outmatched at the 5 though. Start Tyson there and that's actually a pretty solid lineup, although light on shooting. Unless TJ has extended his range.

If we're trying to win games, Bled/Booker/Jackson/Dudley/Chandler is probably our best lineup.
