With the Jazz really struggling and needing more offense, would anyone be open to trading Ryan Anderson + Trevor Ariza + Bender + Mil pick to them for Rubio and Favors?

I'm for trading anyone not named Booker, Bridges, Ayton, Warren, our own '19 pick and 1 of Okobo/Melton if it's going to improve us.

Agreed.

I should note that I meant in the long term. I'm not into looking for short term gains - as I've previously said.

Trading for Rubio has almost zero long term impact, because he’s a UFA this offseason. Favors has one more year.

I mean, YES, in a hot second any reasonable Suns GM should do that trade. They would probably make us throw in another asset or pick or something. Rubio is exactly what we need. I don't think Utah would do this trade as stated though; they take on a lot of underperforming players at high salary and give up rotation guys to do it.

Yeah, I don't see that deal having any value for Utah. I do think they would interested in Ariza; they may give up Favors for him, but I don't think that really helps us.

They won't move Rubio without getting a starting point guard in return; they like Exum, but he hasn't progressed that much.

Indiana and Philly could use him and they have the expiring contracts and PGs to make it interesting to us. A three way with ATL for Lin where Ariza is sent to a third team shouldn't be the hardest thing to engineer. Another target could be Dinwiddie and BRY could use Faried's expiring contract but it's doubtful they have interest in Ariza (maybe a three way, but this would be more complicated than other scenarios).

I just want TJ McConnell or Spencer Dinwiddie at this point. They can be had for reasonable prices, hopefully. Get it done!

I think the Nets love Dinwiddie. They're not giving him away.

There aren't any good PGs people are willing to give up for a 2nd round pick. If we want a good PG, even if he is a 2nd stringer on a team, we are going to have to give up a 1st and/or a good player and/or take on a bad contract. It looks like management has been adamant about not taking on any money for after this year, so that means we will likely get bent over by giving a 1st and a good player.

At this point, I'd rather just give time to Okobo and Melton to see if they can develop into the guards we need, and then make a run at TJ McConnell over the summer.

I'd rather give those 2 a shot as well. You could probably just walk at MConnell. I think they'll aim much higher as in backing the brinks truck up to Kemba.

There is no way he isn't maxed by the Bobcats. He is the only thing keeping them afloat, and their fans love him (rightfully so).

Luka is a stud. Another win tonight, dropped 20 points. I'm surprised at how potent of a scorer he has been this early in his career.

Ya, he’s been a better scorer, less of a playmaker than I thought. The playmaking might just be due to what Dallas is asking him to do. I’m happy with Ayton, but I think we’d be just as happy with doncic
