Gonna be a fun one. Hopefully Ayton can stay on the court and make an impact.

Mavs are at or near the top of my "fuck that team" rankings. They've had our number for a year or two now. I really want to beat their asses. I don't believe in them as a contender with Luka + Kyrie. But we have to beat them to prove that.

No they haven't. We had
their number until last year's playoffs.

This. Didn't Ayton start like 10-0 against luka?

Let him sit and rest, extra bonus will be playing Popovich mind games on the Mavs: If they win, we were lacking Ayton, but imagine if the Suns wipe the floor with them, while KD playing only 25 minutes, Byombo with a double double, and Luka-Irving going off for 40 each.
Clippers and Mavericks struggling record wise with their big name add-ons, but the Suns getting to 3-0 would be gravy.

I got a real bad feeling about Ayton’s injury being significant.

I’d sit Ayton on Sunday and Wednesday. He could get a week’s rest with only missing 2 games. Don’t need him to beat the Mavs or the Thunder. Need him against the Kings.
Speaking of the kings. So annoying watching them spank the clippers twice. Really want to beat those teams now as punishment for disrupting the natural order.

Well if was super serious, he would’ve just been listed as out right? If he has to miss a game or two, that’s fine I just hope it’s not something he has to miss weeks for.

Yeah. Duane Rankin said Ayton is "game time decision" and Terrence Ross is available.

Maxi Kleber is out. Even though he's just a role player, I'm happy we don't have to deal with him today. He always seems to kill us with a bunch of dagger 3s and pull our bigs away from the paint.

That'll teach me to read from the bottom up. I assumed you were talking about Ayton.

Ok
Super interested in this one because let's be honest, the East games were warm-ups and this is more likely a proper test especially as they been kicking our butts recently
Not sure how much the offense has changed now with Kyrie but I expect them to do some similar stuff. I mentioned in another thread that I am always more concerned about CP3 on D than offense.
Against these guys we usually try to hide him on Bullock or DFS (now Green) but that person is a live body who always crashing the boards and still sometimes becomes an issue for him. Or with Bullock they set the guard on guard screen to get CP3 on Luka and that breaks down everything for us.
Again my focus is on D
It's no longer Craig/that guy and Mikal as two 3 n D guys in the starting lineup
So Okogie is the lone guy and point of attack defender so usually guards who is bringing up the ball. So does he switch between Luka n Kyrie and when he's on one of those dudes who is guarding the other
Has to be Book which isn't ideal. We do a lot of switching but this will be interesting
