Rough past week going 1-2, but honestly, if you look at that trio of games, 1-2 is completely understandable and expected. Wish we could have held on against DET but at least we kept all three of those games interesting and close.

I think we have the potential to have a much better week this week. I think we can win 3 or 4 of these matchups, especially if Jalen Green is coming back.

Random Suns thoughts: Gillespie has kind of hit the wall a bit. Why? Have teams started scouting him better, focusing more defense on him? Is he just tired out? Just a random slump? Also, I really like the way Grayson Allen is playing this season. His injury was unfortunate, but it seems like he's rounding back to near 100%. I don't know how he will fit with Green, but Grayson has been really valuable the past few weeks to help with our offense and scoring. If I had to trade anybody it'd be Richards and then O'Neale if needed, not Grayson.

Didn’t have a coach that prioritized it and didn’t have players that prioritized it.

The point differential for both losses was 9, both were winnable and I feel like we lost those games more than the Heat and Pistons won them due to our flagrant and techs. And playing the Pistons so close without Book only further shows we're for real and not a fluke team. We've played the best and for the most part have hung with the best. We're not just beating up on the bottom feeders and we're consistently showing up every night against every opponent.

CG's been in a bit of a slump the past month. Prob a combo of fatigue and teams being prepared for him. He looked very good in the 4th qtr of the Knicks but was also working against Tyler Kolek a bit which no doubt helped. He's struggled against the better starters in the league so that may give some indication of his overall ceiling.

I've said before that Allen is more of luxury type of player. If you can afford him and maximize him, he's worth keeping around. He's effective as either a starter or bench player, can defend well enough, handle the ball competently and has gotten better at getting to the basket. He fits exactly what we do and how we play now. The way he's playing, he might be worth more to us than what we might get back in a trade.

I like the idea of bringing Jevon for Richards. He fit the mold of a hard worker, defensive minded player who can shoot the occasional 3.

I'd say if there's no way to upgrade the frontcourt at the deadline, this would be a smart move; not because of carter as much as getting under the apron.

I don't love Jevon Carter for Richards; would prefer a trade more like that Yabusele trade since we need more help at PF. But that one might not help us get under the tax? Seems like any trade we make has to put us under the luxury tax threshold.

Yabusele won't put us under, and it's a bet they would be willing to take that he can play better again. Jevon, on the other side, would get us under and it's playing like we expect him to play.

Plus a 2nd rounder for the Nets from NY to pay for their cap space. It’s a young player in a cheap contract, so they better don’t get greedy.

Both NY and Phoenix get under the tax with the Knicks getting twice the chances on a front court contributor.

We lose our center insurance but remove a deadweight problem in NHD in the way of getting out of the tax. Anything Yabusele gives us is a win, since I prefer Flemming and Livers backing up the 4 by committee and prefer to keep Richards as insurance if he is ok with it. Maluach is far from ready to play any real minutes.
