That is a brutal schedule. I really wish the NBA would figure out a way not to do this. 5 games in 7 nights is ludicrous and just asking for an injury. I know they don't want to reduce the number of games, but they have to do something; extend the season, cut some games, something. Make the games 40 minutes long for all I care. It's too much.

I'm guessing this is what the minority owners wanted anyway:

The lawsuit between Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia and two Suns' minority owners is expected to head to a confidential binding mediation, which could lead to Ishbia buying out the minority owners' 13% stake at a price determined by a mediator, according to a new court filing obtained by ESPN.
The proposal was filed Monday in Delaware state court, and, if approved by the judge overseeing the case, will ultimately lead to the lawsuit being jointly dismissed.

Are you sure those times are correct? Eastern Times seem fine except it is EDT now but I think there is a 3 hour difference between EDT and MST.
I know I'm nitpicking lol.

I'm not lol. A few might be off. I couldn't figure out the time difference between Phoenix and Minny/San Antonio. It was like algebra.

Oh you're right, I forgot there is Central time in the middle there. Better for you to hurt your brain than me.

It’s probably what Ishbia wants too. These guys were friends of Sarver, meaning they probably care more about $$$ than winning. Ishbia would love to be rid of them, just doesn’t want to pay the hefty price they’re probably asking for. Either way, could care less about billionaires making or losing money.

Not really "news", but I pulled together some data about Oso. I was thinking about his offense, which is interesting because he's both so good and so flawed.
Anyway, I think the key to his success this season has been his aggressiveness and activity: he is always working to create an open shot for his teammates or a dunk for himself. He's such an effective screener at the 3pt line, but he has Shaq's shooting range. That got me thinking: How does Oso's shot selection compare to the great dunkers and Rudy Gobert? Well, our boy Oso Ighodaro dunks more frequently than most. For his career, Oso is dunking 32% of his made shots. Dwight dunked 26%, Shaq 20%, Giannis 17%, Ben Simmons 15%, Clint Capella 30%, and Gobert at a smoking 42%.
Here are those notable players' best dunking seasons.

Takeaway: Dunks are a larger part of Oso's offence than big guys who have more responsibility in the offence, and a smaller portion of his offence than guys whose only job is to dunk.

The interesting thing bout Oso is his ball handling and passing skills. They're both pretty impressive. His offense is pretty much limited to driving to the basket and shooting a little teardrop in the lane. He's going to need to make some progress there and on his free throws if he's going to get to the next level. Plus, he needs to get stronger.
But I'm much more impressed with his this year than last. I think he can play as a backup big man on a contender. He's more of a solution than a problem this year.

First Giannis, and now Devin Booker is partnering with Kalshi. I get that the money is probably enticing, but I think it's gross to partner with these gambling apps and sites. I think eventually this stuff is going to be heavily regulated if not illegal altogether. Making it trivially easy for any American adult to gamble on almost literally anything, anywhere, immediately, from the device in their pocket, is a bad thing.

I hate this shit and I'm proud I'm not a degenerate fiend that throws away money during this economy on such stupid bullshit for a dopamine hit. It's sad and pathetic how many friends I have that have to bet on everything all the time when they have kids. Gamblers are no worse than drug addicts.
