I'd rather have his brother. And I was never a huge fan of RoLo ...

Minnesota has announced they're in rebuilding mode. Anything worth having on their roster, maybe give them the rights back to their own pick?

I'm sure the Wolves wouldn't mind dumping Pekovic's salary, or jettisoning Bennett, Budinger or even Rubio. None of those players are particularly appealing for the Suns, though.

Dieng and Brewer might be nice additions for Phoenix, but I think those are two guys Minnesota probably wants to keep.

I know he is owed a TON of $$ this season and next, but what would you guys think of bringing back Joe Johnson? I guess the hard part would be a get enough salary going back to Brooklyn to facilitate the deal. I think it would be interesting. He would bring some nice scoring off the wing and you could start Bledsoe/Dragic/Johnson/Kieff/Plum

Maybe IT3 + salary fillers to get it done?

That would take a lot of fillers. We would need another 14 million. You would basically have to have Bleds in the deal.

And we shouldn't be starting Plumlee anyway. Len deserves it.

Welcome to the site! I think JJ simply makes too much to trade for, as Indy said.

Speaking of overpaid but talented players, would anybody want to try to get David Lee? I'm sure the Warriors would be happy to get rid of him, and we have a relationship with several of their coaching staff, so they'd probably take our phone call.

I was a huge Joe Johnson fan and was unhappy when he left.

But that was years ago. His price tag is too steep, he's on the downhill side of his career, and he would need the ball in his hands a majority of the time, which would take away from younger players' development.

That dog has hunt a long time ago ...

We also have a relationship with the franchise itself stiffing us on Curry - yes, I realize the brass has changed since then, but it ought to be just a little while longer before trust is restored.

Besides, we don't need anyone in their 30's - and David Lee is a poor man's Kevin Love, right down to the fact that, despite numbers, he doesn't help a team one bit.....

Apparently the Kings have fired Mike Malone. I didn't see that coming

Yeah, that's a surprise. I thought they were doing well by him.

I don't like it when coaches are fired for losing with their best players injured.

It'd be a bit like if they fired Hornacek here due to our mediocre start thus far. Give the coach some time.

I wonder if Boogie Cousins is behind the firing. He seems to be directing who is kept or discarded in SAC lately (e.g. IT).

There's got to be more there with Malone. Can't just be about their record because Cousins has been out the last 2-3 weeks.

I was reading that he was not hired by the current FO, that he pre-dates them and so he's not "their guy". That's about all it takes. GMs always want "their" coach in the system. *INF eyeroll*

Too bad he isn't around anymore to give us that himself.
