See, Nodack. Blockbuster trades do happen mid-season.

This was actually an important, under the radar move. We need to free up minutes for Shavlik.

I didn't think Tolliver was as horrible as some others here did, and he seemed like he was starting to figure it out. But I don't mind his departure if it frees up minutes for TJ or others.

Any word what we'll do with Mitchell? I remember being intrigued with him around the draft. Athletic 6-9 guy, tweener who's not an offensive threat. Best case he's a matrix or jsmoove type who can guard 3s and 4s, rebound, block shots and get out in transition. But he won't help the logjam any at that 3-4 spot and won't be a stretch forward for us.

I saw on I think it was Coro's twitter that we are expected to waive him to free up a roster spot.

We're waiving him.

That settles that. I wouldn't be opposed to trying for JONeal. Doubt he'd sign with us over us over GS or Dallas but he'd help our frontcourt and be a good tutor for Len and even Plums.

Frees up 6M in cap room. Hmm.

Either they realized that Tolliver was a bad signing or they are giving themselves more cap flexibility for a future move.

Meanwhile Houston is trying to free up a roster spot for Smith. Hmmm. Take a little salary off their hands and maybe that NOP pick? Maybe work a little something for DMo or Terrence Jones?
Oh, and to Houston. NO DRAGIC FOR YOU.

If it was a bad signing, they got out of it nicely. One of the signs of a good GM is not so much about making no mistakes, but how deftly you correct your mistakes.

You got me there. Definitely a trade. Blockbuster? I wouldn't go that far. Out of the 1000 trade scenarios posted, which one of you got it right? I don't think anybody here really liked Tolliver so there had to be somebody.
So we dumped him and are waiving what we got and have an extra 6 million to spend now? In my crappy opinion now would be the appropriate time to speculate on the next Suns move. Just saving money dumping dead weight or working on a real blockbuster trade?

Did you not finish reading the tweet, Shel?

I am really scared because the Knicks are doing so poorly.

Nodack, 'Bazz was just ribbing you. He was being facetious in his blockbuster comment. See, that's the problem with you not being here enough.

I think you're taking me a little too seriously.

As I noted before the trade happened, our winning streak coincided with Tolliver no longer in the rotation. By all accounts he was a great guy but he just wasn't contributing to wins. He was a really good three point shooter but didn't play good enough defense or rebound the ball well enough for his position. Best of luck in Detroit, Anthony.

Mostly because I can't even stand the thought that Carmelo might end up here. Any chance above 0% is too much.
