Another question, for which I've never heard a good answer: if every team makes everything proprietary (there was no sharing of Best Practices at Sloan), and holds its secrets close, how do you know what works -- and, most importantly, what doesn't?

I would honestly make a legitimate run at DeMarcus Cousins. I'd trade either Knight or Bledsoe (Bledsoe preferred, I just don''t think Hornacek would be the guy to coach that team. You'd need a stronger personality/disciplinarian like Lionel Hollins.

I wouldn't mind chasing DeMarcus, myself. He's the kind of player you could build a title contender around. Would have to clear out some other knuckleheads, though.

Some more nights like this (down 54-76 to Atlanta at half-time) and he may be pushing to get out of Sac town. Obviously then there would be a super long list of teams trying to get him, however.

The lineup the Knicks have been running out there lately may be the worst I've ever seen. If you told me that not one player from that team made a roster in the 2015-2016 season, I wouldn't be surprised. Gross.

incidentally, through all their maneuvering, denver rid themselves of two of the three centers on their roster, and the third one is hurt... they are starting one undersized pf with two small forwards... wow.
