One of the most exciting games I can remember as a Suns fan...

I remember screaming and jumping up and down in my grandmothers house when this happened.
and yes....pre-teen me did have a Marbury suns jersey.

So many awesome things about this...1st Marbury's reaction to Amare's 3. Then Amare pumping his fist as if He had it the whole time lol. Then Frank Johnsons school girl like reaction to Steph's 3....

Would you take China Marbury or Bledsoe 1 on 1 ?

Wow. This is one of my greatest suns memories. I think it was on a Saturday evening here in Switzerland, I had to listen to the away feed on the internet radio. I remember Duncan going to the freethrow line and missing the firtst, then the second. And then, only crowd noise. I was like wtf happened??? Then I went on the NBA.com homepage hitting reapetedly the refresh button. And the finally the score switched in suns favor. I jumped up and down, I was so happy! Apparently the spurs radio reporter completely went silent after Marbury hit that truly amazing shoot.

Definitely remember watching this game. 2 miracle shots. It's also interesting to see Amar'e's form on that jumper. Lower release from his forehead, pushing it more than shooting it. He's come a long way with his form.

Yeah, today Amare has a really great form to his shot. It is really pretty. Back then, not so much.

Memories of the end of that game are pretty well etched into my memory as well. Although I can't remember if we won another game in that series.

Marbury wasn't perfect, but I don't think anyone can argue that the dude just loves the game. I remember watching this game in my dorm room and jumping up and down with all the players. Honestly, I think 1-on-1, Bledsoe would take Marbury right now, but it would be closer than most would expect.

I have a soft spot for the dude - he def was all over the place but I always dug him on the Suns. Sadly I can't even imagine Bled being passionate enough to play 1 on 1 against anyone lol

I remember going into that series that all the talk was how Marbury had just dominated a young/inexperienced Tony Parker throughout the yr. Marbs best yrs after Minnesota was his brief stint in Phoenix.

Many Spurs said that Phoenix series was their toughest series in there way to a championship that yr.

What was a better shot...The Starbury winner, or this...

I don't remember the series the same way. Amare went off, yes, and scored something ridiculous like 37 points per game. But the Spurs just let him get his and calmly stopped the rest of our team from doing anything, and they beat us handily. Amare showed he was a beast, and Duncan said after the series that he was unable to stop him. But we never came close to winning the series. I felt they were playing with us and just lulled us into a style of play that was never going to win.

That was a different year (the '05 playoffs - with Nash).

The Marbury game winner took place in 2003.

Yea, Mori we've lost to the spurs so many different years in the playoffs its understanable to get them confused haha. 2003 was the yr we were picked dead last by SI, got in as an 8 seed and We pulled off the miracle finish in game 1 and we really had a great chance to go to to Phoenix up 2-0 and blew a late lead in Game 2 and then in Game 4 pulled off a dramatic win when Jake "little Jake" Voskul hit the game winner to even the series at 2. We then lost 5 and 6 and in game 6 I just remember Stephen Jackson hitting dager 3 after dagger 3 and remembering we drafted him.

I really remember that series like it was yesterday, for some reason I really liked that team...well, except Penny.

Man April of '03 . . . wanna say I was living in Flag at the time. I remember watching that shot going "No no no no no . . . yes!"

The worst/best series was probably in May of '07. I watched it in a hospital room with my lips clamped shut so as not to wake up my sleeping wife and newborn son. I thought for sure that was our year. Stupid Mavericks.

My oldest was a few weeks old during that series, and she "watched" the entire series with me. It is a great memory.
