So, look who was the third leading scorer on the winning USA squad with 23 points on 9 of 13 shooting with 5 threes. Congratulations Devin. Good luck against the best shooters in the world in the three point contest on Saturday.

He might have been the 1st if he got as many minutes as Lavine did.

The 3pt contest field is stacked, but I think he has a good shot. His stroke is so consistent and I hink he has a quick enough release that he'll have plenty of time to finish

BTW just thinking remember AS weekend 2005?
Q and JJ in the 3pt (Q won), Nash in the Skills (Won), and Amare in the Dunk (didn't win but hd the memorable Dunk with Nash heading it off the backboard). I think we had someone in that "2 ball" craptastic contest as well.
ahhh the memories....we'll get it back....1 day.

There was a tweet about him going 25-25 in a practice run.

They always schedule the All-Star game during Valentine's Day. Therefore I never get to watch it. The wife would not look kindly on my suggestion to stay in on Sunday to watch the game. Maybe I'll get to see the Dunk and 3-Point contests though.

I watched the rising star challenge and was impressed with Booker. I was unimpressed with the US coach, his rotations were a joke. The US would have lost if they didn't have the big lead. In the final 2 minutes when Booker was put back in, he was wide open almost every possesion and Clarkson and Lavine went for contested hero ball and kept getting shut down.

I worry sometimes that there are not enough real distributors coming in to the NBA. Most of the young "PGs" coming in are really combo guards or undersized 2s. It reminds me of around 15 years ago when we saw a similar pattern with guys like Marbury. Then there was a PG renaissance in the mid 2000s with Nash, Rondo, CP3, DWill, and others. I want another one of those.

Book just got 20 in the three-point contest! Rough start but very strong finish.

The Dunk Contest is always fun to watch the highlights of. The actual contest takes an hour and produces about 2 minutes of really high quality content surrounded by 58 minutes of posturing, videos, commercials, score crap, music, other crap, and more commercials.

Wow. Aaron Gordon just got FUCKING ROBBED in that dunk contest. Absolute travesty.

Gordon got robbed. Every one of his last 3 dunks were amazing, inventive, and most importantly difficult to pull off.

If you missed it, it was a *great* battle between Zach Lavine and Aaron Gordon. Worth watching the highlights when they come out.
