Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves
Mori -- agreed that someone can (and actually already did) offer a much nicer deal. Just don't think that the Suns should do it. Inf -- agree as well that the offer is pretty much a lowball, I guess I meant that would be what I would be willing to offer. Swingy -- if the T-Pups make a deal with Sacr...

Re: Around the League: May 2014
The Sacramento Kings have let the Minnesota Timberwolves know they are interested in trading for All-Star forward Kevin Love – and the Kings would make a deal without any assurance from Love he'd re-sign with them, a league source told Yahoo Sports. The Kings are willing to give up their eighth ove...

Re: Post Your Draft Board
Hmmm...not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Mental issues can be fixed. But they can also resurface and destroy a player (see Anderson, Nick).
If he can turn into a bulkier Marion, though...he'd be attractive regardless.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves
I know next to nothing about the prospects coming out this year. So let me ask -- how much would you be willing to give up for a Kevin Love who cannot extend his contract per league rules? I'd offer Markieff (who'd be out of a position), Marcus, the T-Wolves pick and the Pacers pick this year. Looki...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
The way he keeps on twisting his ankle, it's clear that his ATFL and CTFL ligaments are severely damaged if not completely torn. Rehab via strengthening the tendon can only go so far, and I was hoping that he'd get the thing fixed for good via the Brostrom procedure, which is close to 100% effective...

Re: Suns News: Week of 4/14-4/20
With McDonough looking to throw away picks, if I'm Atlanta I approach the Suns. I'd say give me Plumlee, the Morris Twins, and #14 & #18, maybe Goodwin gets thrown in there. Not up to your usual high standards, INF. First, McDonough is NOT looking to "throw away picks". I know that he...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Woah, Kobe? Archie has an outstanding first step, but I'll be happy if he ever produces seasons like Barbosa's during his 6th man days. IMHO, Archie and young Barbosa are completely different types of players. Barbosa was incredibly quick after he got a bit of momentum and could consequently penetr...

Not with Dragic being the face of the franchise, beloved around these parts.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Love would be more valuable to the Suns than Dragic, c'mon now.
What I would REALLY like to see, though, is Dragon-Love. Dragon drives and dishes to a Lovely 3-pointer. Bledsoe would also work well with this combination.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves
Absolutely no way the Suns SHOULD move Dragic for anyone short of a true superstar. He means more to this particular team than Love, let alone the likes of Wall or Westbrook. Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised to see OKC offer Westbrook for him. Since the Suns aren't going to get Durant or LeBron, the ...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves
If Kerr coaches the Knicks, does that mean that they have a chance of luring Goran to New York? Otherwise, I am thinking that the Dragon would be a Suns lifer...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves
I do not think that it is completely unrealistic to recruit LeBron if Wade starts looking like he's breaking down over the remainder of the playoffs. Wouldn't you rather be the oldest player of a contending nucleus rather than the youngest, especially if you can play with Bledsoe? I see The Decision...

Re: Goran Wins Most Improved
Dragic: 199 driving layups this season (including reverses). Made 76.9%, blocked 6 times LeBron: 192 driving layups, 78.1%, blocked 8 times  IIRC, a lot of people on this board called it -- move him into a Ginobili (as starter) role and he will excel. What's amazing is how he did this when B...

Re: Goran Wins Most Improved
NVM my post in the news thread, I didn't see this one!
Based on the ballots I've seen posted online, I think that Goran will also get either 2nd or 3rd team All-NBA as well. Well deserved.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves
The only real upgrade to be made, however, seems to be Kevin Love or Chris Bosh. That's been my thinking as well. Bosh keeps coming to mind for some reason and I keep going back and forth on him. The question is, should the Suns roll the dice on him or hold out for something better? The key concept...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2013-2014: Year In Review
IIRC, the reason Green has a "stubby" finger is because he got it stuck on the rim while dunking as a kid. Some articles have covered this.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves
I think Markieff still has legitimate upside as a starter. I could see 18/8/3 outta him as a starter next year if we go that route. He'll never be a defensive force, but he can shoot it, post it, pass it, and even put it on the floor some offensively. He's only 24. Green gets more love than this gu...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves
a lot will depend on what Frye does with his option. If he took a discount in exchange for long term security, I'd make him a keeper, in the same mold Nick Collison and the Thunder, but if he takes his $6.8M he is a trading chip and his status on the Suns becomes much more precarious. I also love P...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves
Swingy, I'm with you here. No sense in replacing Plumlee + Frye with Henson + Hawes. No sense whatsoever in going back to the Blanks era, either. Plumlee looked great until opposing defenses started paying attention to him, making him lose his confidence. I've always thought of him as a 7-foot Mario...
