Re: 2026 Offseason

Yeah I know Zion is flawed and arguably damaged goods. But he had a decent season and NO isn't going to send out assets like picks just to give him away. I think he's a stay-away at this point, too risky to take on, too valuable / commands too high a price from his current team. Green's a flawed ...

Here's an article by Gerald Bourquet about the Suns' options for re-signing Collin Gillespie.

Re: 2026 Offseason

Now, this is the kind of trade that could make sense. I don't like how Murray is older but he's not looking for a giant contract. And if we're keeping Book, they would be on identical timelines. https://www.brightsideofthesun.com/suns-rumors/104022/dejounte-murray-jalen-green-trade-analysis-point ...

Re: 2026 Offseason

What's up with all of these garbage trades that are surfacing out of the sewers? Anthony Davis? Jrue Holiday? Shame on BSotS for even discussing these rumors.

I'm fine with that approach, but then why are they bringing in a bunch of guards for draft workouts?
With a late 2nd rounder, I am not concerned about this.

Re: 2026 Offseason

I think I'm going to take Ishbia's comments at face value. I'd be surprised if we made a major move before next season. I'm pretty much expecting the same team next season maybe with a few small roster tweaks at most. I do think we'll be a bigger and better rebounding team just by playing Fleming ...

Re: 2026 Offseason

Would there be any interest in a Jalen Green for Franz Wagner trade? The salaries allow a straight up trade 1 for 1. With Orlando's current turmoil they may be looking for a change. Wagner is listed as a SF, but is 6'10". That gets us more size. Thoughts? I would love it, but we’d need to add more I ...

Re: 2026 Offseason

Yet, his defensive impact, even in his current, undeveloped form, is impossible to ignore. Pretty much everything you mentioned is addressable with more reps and body work. And he is already able to defend in space. I am not sure where the concerns about the lack of agility come from...he's ...

Re: 2026 Offseason

Finally, don't be afraid of listening for Maluach (looking at you NOP). I respect the potential and I am ok with having him but I also can see a big bust in the making no matter what some people say about his character, coachability, physical development, few years playing basketball, etc. Exactly ...

Re: 2026 Offseason

Fleming Maluach and Dunn gained about as much playoff experience as the fans sitting courtside. They didn't play. They gained nothing out of it. I wouldn't go that far. They were in the locker room after the losses and now understand something about the next level. Maluach, at least, got some ...

I would do Grayson for PJ…that’s a good trade and balances both rosters a bit
So would I. Fair value.

Re: 2026 Offseason

I've been trawling the web looking for viable trades, and one that has caught my attention is this one with Dallas: https://www.si.com/nba/mavericks/onsi/two-potential-trades-could-make-sense-dallas-mavericks-cam-spencer-grayson-allen- "Grayson Allen offers less creation but did more ball-handling ...

Re: 2026 Offseason

Let's face it. The Suns loss in the first round wasn't because of coaching, and it wasn't because of injuries. Oklahoma City is just light years ahead of them when it comes to talent and playoff experienced. They've been spending the last few years picking up players like Caruso and Hartenstein to ...

Re: 2026 Offseason

For those impressed by his playoff performance: he shot .386. He was awful. The highlights are amazing, but there's just no substance there. And it's been that way for 5 seasons. Yeah, I get the bar is low, but it is wild that people are praising a playoff performance that featured 38%/20% shooting ...

Re: 2026 Offseason

Never fall in love with your players, you only handcuff yourself when you're looking to improve your team. Even the "generational talents." And the Suns don't have any of those. They're saying the right things to boost value. No fire sales. I like the approach. But I'm sure that we're still taking ...

Well, I really appreciated what he did for the Suns in the twilight of his career. Got Book to the Finals. Made Ayton look like a real NBA player.

Re: 2026 Offseason

If the Suns keep Green along with Booker, we are looking at the Malaise years 2.0. And I think they know this. BG knows how not to tank Green's value, which is pretty high at the moment.
