Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

If they agree to a sign & trade with Minnesota they can't back out on the agreement per NBA rules.

If there's no sign & trade agreement there's no way Minnesota can make a max offer unless they shed about $20 million in salaries without taking back anything in return.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

Yep, they would have to dump several players.

Their team payroll is $70 million, the cap is at $63 million. And they're not going to be able to shed $22 million.

BRI isn't based on profit, it's based on revenue, and it's audited by the player's association each year.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

he can sit out the season if he wants, but then he's a restricted free agent again next year with the same qualifying offer. so he's certainly not sitting out the year.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

Well, he's not under contract - so I wouldn't expect him to be here. Unfortunately for him, he and his "agent" probably counted on a lot more mobility and some big offers this summer, and when the market dried up they found themselves without many options (other than accepting the qualifyi...

Re: Suns News: September

I have a feeling that Bledsoe is going to be traded for Dion Waiters and filler so that Cleveland can have the two pg lineup and perimeter defense to cover for Irving. This will also allow them to have their 4 stars too. well, that filler would have to be Varejao to make it work salary-wise then. I...

Re: Suns News: September

Accumulation of assets.

But I think they're at the point now where they have to look at how well they fit together and how they can make deals to strengthen their weaknesses.

Bledsoe for Julius Randle might be a good place to start.

Re: Suns News: September

Well, he's not getting anything close to a max contract if he wants to go to Cleveland unless the Suns and Cavaliers make a S&T deal (and Cleveland would have to send something back like Varajao and Thompson or Waiters for the salaries to match up).

Re: Suns News: September

If Bledsoe really wants to play somewhere else next year he and his agent could have played this out much better. They should have made that known early on when there were teams out there with cap space that could have worked out a deal for him a lot more easily. Instead, they waited until all the o...

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

https://twitter.com/Gambo987/status/508039738616320002 Since everything should be about building long term, I would have to consider using him as the third guard. The first option is to re-sign him, but if he doesn't want to be here I'd look to move him for comparable assets, if you don't re-sign h...

Re: Al McCoy Appreciation Thread

Al is on a very short lost of broadcasters who are synonymous with their team's public face. You just can't think about the Suns without getting around to Al if you've spent any extended period of time living here because he's been doing their games since 1972! (my youth was spent listening to Al Mc...
