Re: Game Day: Suns (40-29) @ Timberwolves (34-33) , Sun 3/23

I think it's pretty much official now - we aren't getting Minnesota's pick this year. I dunno there is a pretty good chance we don't make the playoffs. Then there is a very small chance we get a top 3 pick. If that happens Minny will have the 14th which would go to us. :) True, but the Timberwolves...

Great win, and another example of why Minnesota has such a mediocre record considering their point differential.

Minnesota's problem today is that their starters can't play 48 minutes.

A couple of really dumb fouls by Dragic there.

Wally_West wrote:Rebounding has really been killing us this last half of the season. I would think fixing that problem would be priority number one in the offseason.
Adding talent to the frontcourt has to be priority #1, but a live body who can rebound would be nice.

The Suns look really sluggish - despite making their first five shots they've fallen behind because of poor perimeter defense and careless ballhandling.

Re: Will the Suns make the playoffs?

Every team has a few of those games every year. Playing .500 ball over the course of a couple of months when Bledsoe was out is the big problem. To be a real contender in the West the Suns are going to need to upgrade their starting frontcourt. They have one-non scorer in Plumlee and two guys who ba...

Nets shooting 60% through three quarters.

Just a horrible defensive effort. No way to sugar-coat it.

Yeah, they've really gotten their money's worth, haven't? they've probably spent another $800-900 million on salaries too!

In those 11 years they have made the playoffs four times and gotten to the second round once.

Over the last 11 years New York has spent $205 million on just the luxury tax.

They aren't worried about paying an executive $12 million, they make so much off local cable tv that it's like printing their own money.

Tucker was a mixed bag. He needs to be under control. Personally I believe the call on his offensive rebound was not flawless, and they could have saved themselves the technical, but I wouldn't be surprised if refs would have taken his number. Depending on how he handles his relationship with the r...

Re: Number One Overall Draft Picks

Seems like I remember reading the Celtics pulling some chicanery (it was probably allowed then anyway) where they drafted Larry Bird after his junior year - and still retained his rights even though he returned for his senior season at Indiana State. Bird had sat out a year as a redshirt when he tr...
