I hope so too. Definitely for the guys you named. Just for the SAS and OKC matchups.

Bottomline, the Suns downgraded at center. Ayton is better right now. But what the Suns did was add future flexibility and depth with this trade.

Ayton is making over $30 million a season and was set to be the 4th best player on the team. I'll miss him, but I guess he had to go.

Okay, time for Gene's 2¢. I'm not super in love with this trade. I'd rather have the younger Ayton, but I guess too many things were going on behind the scenes and relationships couldn't be repaired. Nurkic can play, he has back to the basket low post game, and we know he can shoot the three. Bottom...

I got the text message from Suns team shop yesterday talking about an announcement at 6am.

Udoka's a big dude listed at 6-11 270 with a 7-7 wingspan and the athleticism to go along with it. Throwback big, catch and dunk guy, shoots FTs about as well as Biyombo unfortunately. Not expecting much, but he's got some experience in the league with Utah. Could be a favor between the Bartlestein...

Toumani played four years in college and looks like a seasoned vet. He looks ready. Nice debut.

Nice pickup. EG is a true combo guard. He can make plays and shoot. Suns should have enough depth to withstand injuries.

Great signing.

Suns don't have a true playmaking point guard. Is that a concern for anyone ? Or is it not a big deal ?

Earlier today on First Take, Mad Dog Chris Russo gave his top five NBA title contenders for 2024.

1) Warriors
2) Nuggets
3) Bucks
4) Kings
5) Thunder

I couldn't believe he had the Kings and Thunder ahead of the Celtics, Suns, and even a healthy Grizzlies team.

Congrats to the Nuggets for winning the championship.

I think he'll be waived and re-signed. Ishbia has a plan.
