Re: Suns fire Head Coach Igor Kokoskov

https://twitter.com/Sam_Vecenie/status/1120559801258393600 He probably expected that the team would easily win more than 29 games. Nah. Nobody could have expected that. I'm assuming you meant to type "19" because 29 would have led to a parade down Central Avenue. Superbone placed a bet on the Suns ...

Becky Hammon? She's my dark horse.
She is way too smart to work for him, especially after all of the Pop talk. He is setting her up to replace him in San Antonio.

Re: 2019 NBA Playoffs First Round

I'm all for a strong punishment. But 5 games, then doubling, etc., would be out of whack with what the league hands out for other infractions such as actually shoving / hitting another player. I find shoving / hitting much more forgivable. Games are physical and often emotional. Under those circums...

Re: Suns fire Head Coach Igor Kokoskov

There may come a day, Mori, where you have to become our Jim Jones and we just collectively Jonestown our Suns fandom. At least until Sarver sells. It would be so cathartic. I wouldn't do that. :-) But I feel like the more years the Suns are bad, the more reason I have to morph into a general NBA f...

Re: Suns fire Head Coach Igor Kokoskov

I don't think I have ever said this before, but Chuck is right. This is a dumpster fire. Our FO is a joke, in line with the Kings.

BUT... for anyone just looking at Sarver, don't think Booker wasn't asked about the firings of Watson, Triano, or Igor before they happened.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

No Brandon Clarke with our pick. He's barely top 10. SF sized. Already 23. So-so rebounder. FT% is below average. Not a 3 point shooter. All giant red flags on a good day, and certainly not worth the 4-7th pick. Really not much here that Holmes doesn't already give us. Not a great fit, either (we d...

And does anyone else see a real possibility of him being re-elected? Unfortunately, it feels pretty real right now.

Re: Mueller/Russia investigation

Based on what I've read of the Mueller Report, the Dems need to launch an impeachment process immediately. This corrupt man cannot be allowed to do what he's done with no consequences. There have been no consequences his entire life. Just saying. But unless you have over half of the GOP senators wi...

And this is the information that's unreacted. Also, how little dignity does one need to be a Trump stooge? Looking at you William Barr, the coward who has disgraced the justice department of his nation. This isn't the first time Barr has been a stooge and lied to "protect" an administration from th...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

Especially with likely not watching a lot of Lasme play. At least I doubt you remembered much of his 16 games in the NBA. I get the feeling you just went with other guys that were 6-8 and 215 pounds.

Re: Suns name James Jones as GM, new hierarchy

I am not sure you can find the right kind of PF to play alongsise Ayton. Brook Lopez, on the other hand, would be a terrific partner for our guy. Have Lopez play C on defense with Ayton guarding stretch PFs and swithching. Also watch him block out people for rebounds. On offense the Splash Mountain...

https://www.nba.com/article/2019/04/17/pelicans-gm-david-griffin-anthony-davis-trade Griff says he had to find the right owner in order to return to a front office job. Well that explains that. No wonder there was no talk of the Suns interviewing him, lol. EDIT: He said Benson convinced him of her ...

Re: 2019 NBA Playoffs First Round

Interesting games last night. Spurs got up by 19 or so on Denver, but then the Nuggets roared back to win and even the series (and, really, save their playoff hopes). Blazers had a big win over OKC and are now up 2-0; they're proving a lot of people wrong who picked OKC to upset them. Kanter is fil...

Re: Draft, trades, FA, fantasy rosterbation rebuild

The crazy thing is, had we better allocated the $15M we rushed to pay Ariza, we probably could have fielded a team that could have hit 30 wins. For example, imagine if we have Randle $10M and Napier $3M. Or even retained Elfrid. I’m of the opinion that Napier (or Payton)/Booker/Warren (or Bridges)/...

Re: Suns News: Week 26 4/8-4/9

I could see Warren going to a playoff team, playing as their 6th man and turning into a Lou Williams type invaluable role. I think it would really help him to go to a team where he clearly isn't a starter and he knows it. He could easily be the #2 or #3 scorer on the team keep them afloat the night...

Re: Suns name James Jones as GM, new hierarchy

And I don't think he is great. I think he is a good-sized PF that can shoot, rebound, and defend. He played as many minutes at PF for Dallas than anyone else, and had a better block percentage than anyone that actually played. And I don't think he will cost 8 figures like most of the other PFs on th...

Re: Suns name James Jones as GM, new hierarchy

I think you guys are overrating him. He’s a role player who plays his role well, but is still pretty limited. Anthony Tolliver with a slightly better shot-blocking profile. And you can’t “hide” players in the NBA. Once a player has played a significant number of minutes, NBA scouts will have enough...
