Re: Phoenix Suns 2014-2015 Season Expectations

I don't see your point. My point is that 5M isn't a lot of money (as far as NBA salaries in +2014/15 are concerned). When you say 5M for your 3rd string PF, it certainly sounds like too much. But all in, we have 15 guys under contract, and I don't think there is a strong case for any of them being ...

Re: Morris Twins Extension

I doubt we end the year with these 4 guys. I would be PJ (DUI) or Green (kind of at his peak from a skill/$$ ratio) are gone soon, with an upgrade to the 4/5 coming back.

I think it was Bob that said two years from now this contract will look like a very good deal due to the cap changes.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014-2015 Season Expectations

Sup, I have to take umbrage with your poll questions. "Better than last year" and "Significantly better than last year" seems like the same group. We missed 6th place by 3 games. I think the last option should have been top 4 seed. Yeah, I see you point. I was just thinking how ...

Re: Morris twins extention

5 million for Marcus!!!! You kidding me!! 3 million max. Markieff is not good enough to warrant overpaying his brother just to keep him happy. Holy hell. We just paid 52 million for Markieff. Disaster. Side note- the spelling error in the title is killing me Look who else is making 5 and tell me he...

Got it. I'm with you on the package deal, if it came from the Morri. Unless it was a "we want to stay together" and the Suns came back with what I said above. That seems pretty cool.

I love the tactic.

"Hey guys, our total we are willing to spend is 52 million over 4 years. You two figure out how you want to split it and let us know."

Yep, as I said earlier, like it or not this is the team we will have going forward unless we're involved in some kind of trade.
With 15 guys on our roster, I have a hard time believing that won't happen.

Re: RICH PAUL Appreciation Thread

Haha, Robot, I could actually picture an article like that being posted on lebronJames.com. I wonder what percentage of Bled's contract goes to Paul? I think the NBA caps commission at 3% but I thought it was paid yearly. I am not sure if the contract stipulates that the money goes to the agent reg...

Warm fuzzies. He's our last connection to Cotton. Along with his assistants Mark West and Kenny Gattison of course. The best thing about bringing back Hornacek was that they not only hired a capable coach, but someone with a connection to the franchise who had to have a little extra incentive to ge...

That surprises me when I first heard it. Then I started thinking of the 30 guys, and I would easily put him in the top 20%.

Although, after reading that article, I would put him ahead of Spoelstra.

He has to say that. But that's also the way Bledsoe should act to get the best deal. You don't go tell your boss you really want to stay here during contract negotiations.
